You Want To Know Why GT Is Superior To Super?!

GT is superior to Super because: 1: The soundtrack (Japan) is perfect, it has everything. The fights one, the rares one, the sads one. It is simply perfect. 2: The drawings and the animation: Only Uchiyama ruined some chapters, but the other chapters without him is in a excellent level, it surpass to Z and even to the mediocrity of super. And the animation, it is equal to Z. We can see about 30 fps detailed. Thing that in super only has like 7 chapters seems to be at 30 fps. 3: It does not contradict Z: Vegeta had already admitted that Goku had overcome him and now trains to become stronger and not to overcome a Kakaroto. Gohan, Goten and Trunks besides having their lives, they train and they look great. Piccolo is the same. Goku is still intelligent and is also the goku of the filler / movies, it is the killer machine that does not forgive the villains and kills when it is done, but the Goku of toriyama instead of killing, did not do towards. Even GT takes into account the last chapters of Z, which DBS shit does not. 4: Openings and terminations (Japan): The opening of GT is recorded as one of the most beautiful, and its endings ... The end 2 is one of the best. And the 4... it's just the best: simple, the music, and especially when it's over and Goku comes to look at us with his Z clothes. 5: Character development and transformations: In GT the characters evolved, and the transformations... well, I think it has no explanation. 6: History: At first it is boring, (like in one piece) but from rough and back to entertain us with fights. And the baby saga because it already exceeds all of dbs and are equal to those of Z. Also in dbs are copies of fan-mangas like AF or Multiverse.... 7: Villains: We love King Piccolo, Freezer, Broly, Buu and more villains of Z. But Baby and Omega are definitely villains that already surpass all. But Zamasu is just shit, wants to destroy the world because Gowasu showed him only the negative of humans. 8: Tension: I have not seen any scene in DBS that of tension. 9: Movies: The path to power is not GT, but the animation and music it is. And it's one of the most beautiful I've seen. The same with the GT special, gives emotion and is better than DBS broly. 10: The end: I think I do not need to explain anything here. And another thing: The people who say in GT only Goku has prominence is FALSE, Pan and Trunks had prominence. Even on the planet M2 Pan had a chapter and nobody expected it from trunks and giru. Goten, Gohan and Vegeta in the baby saga. All in the saga of Super 17 and even brought to Gogeta. I don't care about the Canon, I care about the quality. Thanks for read my comment. Also good video!

GT followed the character progression from DBZ and told new stories. DBS went for Nostalgia Pandering, Freeza's back, Trunks is back, Broly is back, 17 is back etc and all those pointless callback scenes like Vegeta's sacrifice, Future Gohan's death or the Mafuba. DBS has no staying power as it has no identity of its own other than being DBZ fan-fiction, in the next 10 years or so DBS will not be fondly remembered because TOEI is determined on driving this franchise to the ground and milk it for all its worth.

Like compare when picollo died in super compared to GT. In dbs I had no attachment because they have the dragon balls and it felt forced like that weird rishi moment in the ToP. My only issue with GT was just that the fights were mostly underwhelming, and most of the Shadow Dragons other than Ice, Nova and Omega were designed well. That and SS4 looked weaker than it should have been most of the time, after the Baby fight. But there was nothing wrong with the content of GT which is why the games make everything from GT look better.

I feel like people forget the gap in time from when GT and super was made and how underfunded the staff was that made the project happen. GT feels better because of the message it left off in my eyes. Back then alot more people had time to actually appreciate the fact that they were even getting a continuation because for all we knew db ended with goku going off to train uub and it was going to stay gone for good. Yes, over time it got nitpicked and bashed like the movies and the rest of the series so much it became an underdog because people started forgetting that the grand-tour wasn't about continuing the series forward. It was to send it off in a more proper and awesome way at the time. Super honestly reminds me of just business corruption and how it can destroy good series. Another example being teen titans go getting kidconned and rainbow paint blasted. I get the art and graphics change and look better as we develop higher quality but the most we had in the 90' was like 480p and that was considered right under the all powerful HD remasters right? But I understand what he is saying. If you don't try to understand a series you won't truly find a value especially if you look at it in a negative candle to begin with. We had a few canontards back ten but they were no more than background noise cause we just appreciated what we had and moved on. I can't get behind super because there isn't anything there, there is no change, nothing new its the same crap we have been getting in Z just updated colors and skins

Well, Vegeta was indeed training. He was training to surpass his own limits. in Super, Vegeta legimately hates Goku. At least in the anime. He doesn't want to kill him or anything but he is gay for Cabba. Somebody he hardly knows gets more attention than his own son... I mean present Trunks by that. He also gets insanely strong for no reason. Not that it helps him or anything because he is jobbing against the likes of Base Black and Hit in his strongest form before Goku performs much much better. Vegeta did damage to Beerus and Beerus had to use 10% of his Power just to defeat Vegeta while Enraged. That's huge. God Goku made Beerus use so much more. Goku even stated that not even Vegito would work. Remember that Vegito also includes all transformations. Goku is obviously aware of this. That means not even Super Saiyan 3 Vegito can even beat that Beerus, and Super Saiyan 2 Enraged Vegeta surpassed that. Super Saiyan God surpassed that by so much more. I'm not sure what you're on about.

Correction, Gohan and Vegeta (without chasing Goku but for himself) kept up with their training, everyone else where just living their normal lives. Also in Super, there is nothing but fanboy service such as repeating attacks exactly like in Z just to get the fanboys wet, no originality. Vegeta here has a new attack and like how Z progressed with special attacks so did GT. 2nd, the Broly female is basically a copy and paste scene by scene from the legendary super saiyan broly. Also my theory is that Akira has "ADHD" because I do (which would explain his forgetfulness) and I can relate to Goku's behaviors EXACTLY to the bone which is why I believe Akira wrote Goku's behavior in GT something that neurotypicals cannot capture which extends to another theory that Akira didn't write Goku's behaviors in Super. In Super, it feels like nuerotypicals wrote Gokus behaviors, something I can relate in real life when neurotypicals try to mimic who we are, neurotypicals mistake our innocence with "stupidity" and that's what's written in Super for Goku. GT felt more like a story, with the arcs both connecting to each other and to Z in its events, even if they weren't all great. GT also gave characters they werent going to use anymore a timely retirement. In Super they say they want to keep the characters young, but they're all useless. Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, Gohan, all do nothing. Everything is just Goku and Vegeta. But when they do bring in a character they scale them up so high out of no where that they make Goku in SSB look like shit. Both Freeza and 17. Where as GT gave 17 a new form to justify it.

GTs interpretation of Vegeta is a static screenshot of him from the end of the show while Super is more faithful to him as a character. Just become he acknowledges Goku is better doesn’t mean he will forever be content being #2, especially after getting tired of life without fighting. I mean he is a saiyan, he was made to fight he has just turned his hate and rage in to competitive. I’m not a massive fan of either Super of GT but between the two I find Super to be more enjoyable moment to moment while also being in line with the entire Dragon Ball franchise over say just the Buu saga of Z. Some of my favorite sagas in the entire series was the 22nd and 23rd tenkaichi tournaments and so I may be in the minority but I’d rather have more tournaments with semi lower stakes over world ending destruction for the 5th time just for the sake of it with false stakes which is why the golden Freeza stuff was horrible imo. It tried to impose non existing stakes by killing piccolo or implying that Freeza could really compete with SSB, I did like the time travel redo element though. I mean GT had cooler transformations but all the characters are flat and passive. In super outside of Goku becoming a n idiot most of the characters play more active roles even if irrelevant to combat which is more in line with the OG dragon ball as well as the comedy. I still watch and somewhat enjoy GT but think Super is overall better in the areas that matter.

I think people don't make videos like this cause theyre scared of getting jumped by the herd of Super fanboys. Im scared to share my opinion on Super vs GT and where I put them. For me its basically that you switch the power level you think theyre at and thats more accurate although nit completely. I don't even think supers universal until episode 80 or MUI. The "feat" of goku vs beerus was explained from episode 7-14. Also keep in mind vegeta enraged made beerus use 10% as stated in ep 7. Vegeta should have the same base power as Goku,Gohan who was possed by baby and also Goten too didn't touch base Gt Goku,while Baby Vegeta trashed ssj 3 Goku,and also they fused into gogeta when Vegeta turns ssj4,and you have to have same power to fuse into Gogeta.

Ngl, that Arc wasn't very good in my opinion Mostly being the fact it felt like trunks regressed, and his character changed. Then, yk, Goku knew what Black did to Trunks and his timeline and chose not to go all out and stop Black. Plus, there's the dumb rage form that Trunks got, which felt very unearned and was just dumb. But my least favorite part is the fact they had Zeno just erase the entire universe from his timeline, and Trunks don't even have a reaction to it. Despite all his effort and history with the people of that world, his master, the people he protected in the black Arc, and more. But eh just me :p

@. Ki has a mental and spiritual component to it, so it makes sense for Trunks to get a rage boost. And, Trunk’s behavior was accurate for someone who came from a post apocalyptic timeline. How did Goku not go all out, when he kept getting zenkai boost from the battles with Goku black? And, Zeno saw that Trunk’s timeline was mostly gone, due to all of the Kai’s and Gods of Destructions being killed. Lol, everything seems to make sense to me.

@davonbenson4361 I get the rage boost, kinda? But from someone who couldn't even handle super saiyan 3 to get a rage boost, that makes him considered blue level, even if given power? Also, not really. He just felt like a cowardly shell of his former self. Plus, the original trunks would not have taken Zeno, destroying his universe lightly. He didn't even react to it a single bit. I do think it was very in-character for him to finish everyone and not let buu awaken when he talked about how he dealt with that whole thing.

I like Super better cuz of the way things happen in it, and I love the arcs. Yeah I have my gripes with it, ESPECIALLY the inconsistent handling of Gohan, but that seems to have resolved. I like the villains and the way Goku acts, getting his way and pissing everyone off is funny to me. I also like how Vegetas still ignited on surpassing Goku despite what he said in the Buu Saga, and how protective of his family he's become, and how he goes off on Goku for dumb shit like letting Frieza come back. Supers simply better for me, though I will say some things on GT I love too. I of course like Ssj4, Baby, the Shadow dragons, Pan, Uub, Ledgic, Gohan, even how Goten and Trunks are handled is awesome. I mostly enjoy how changed the characters are in GT, but they aren't changed much in Super, and I don't mind that.

It makes perfect sense if you actually think about it. But I guess I’ll explain it for those that can’t comprehend it. And Omari I suggest you read this - cause I know you don’t like reading but I’ll explain anyways. GT in itself is bad and really pushes you to accept the fact that they took Goku that we knew from watching DB and Z and give us a version that is a 100% redo of the character from the ground up. He doesn’t act the same like he did in Dragonball or Z if anything they took both personalities and mixed them together to make GT Goku. Thee only time we got to see a more “mature” Goku was when he was SSJ4 and even then it heavily implied that Goku suffered from multiple personality disorder. Evolution - yes is a horrible movie and should be burned from all existence, but even in itself it’s like GT to the point it’s uncanny cause both Goku’s we see are almost identical to each other minus the high school aspect and a few other things but the personality that each have are identical. So by saying GT is “superior” than Super then you’re saying Evolution is the best Dragonball live action movie ever made. Hope you can understand cause that’s dumbed down as much as humanly possible.
