Glad that DSArms is making new rifles and steel mags to help the platform survive. Bought various types of mags when surplus was plentiful and cheap but that is no longer the case.

Yes unfortunately is the surplus market crazy expensive. More people got into the FAL game and the mag sources overseas are drying up

In the 1970's while observing in Rhodesia, I was instructed to use a small amount of automotive paste wax (Carnauba) on the tops of the mags, and polish them well.

I had to send mine back. Plastic followers jammed. DSARMS Customer service is second to none. I'm soon to purchase my third FAL from them. My 50.63 copy is Effing MAGNIFICENT ❤

These new magazines are super tight with my DSA rifle, but they're wearing in and working better all the time. I'm just happy to have new magazines and I can live with letting them break in. Thanks for the video review!

Agreed, fitment is super tight. Are yours feeding well? I have 3 and none will function with more than 15 rounds.

Yes, will keep on using it. And yes, long-term review will happen. It seems the same as the old mag in terms of weight and looks.

this video made me check out the prices of DSA SA58s idk why but it did and i found out you can find some for 1.300 usd which shocked me bc i always thought every model was 2 grand or above so im gonna actually be able to afford one of these sexy things you get a sub just for making me find out i will actually be able to get a FAL in my life without having to sell a kidney 😄

People say the polymer DSA mags are problematic but I haven’t had any problems from them. Will probably be grabbing a few of the steels

It usually takes a bit to break in the stiff polymer mags. Some of the people that complain have the bad early batches. And some poly mags are in fact of bad quality too... I haven't had any issues either though

They released a batch not long ago but sold out. I bought 2. Everyone on the falfiles forum are saying they are garbage. Mine seem fine but have only been to the range to test them once.

Finally getting a steel magazine also I have a question. Did you do anything to your FAL on the extractor? Seems like the shells are extracting a little forward instead of dinging the rifle thank you.

I did not make any changes to the extractor. I should have adjusted the gas setting to get a better extraction

You can always request your DSA FAL to have a forged receiver. DSA custom builds FALs based on customer's desires...

They would not work in my FAL and many others'. They changed the feed lips
