One more thing you should add onto the truck as an extra modification to it is to add the FS-2500 oil filtration bypass kit to it. It keeps the oil super clean. They make kits for your 4R100 transmission too. I have that kit on my duramax truck and even at 5,000 miles that oil was still gold. I’ll be adding it to my 7.3L ford soon too.

@@powerstrokecentral, i’d still change it at 5K because the injectors depend on clean engine oil. Instead of an extra fuel tank just srop your factory one and put in an extended haul tank. Pretty sure that tank is 60 gallons and it fits in the stock location.

Depending on what size injectors you go with you should do a t-4 turbo Headstuds valve springs and pushrods

You need a boost fooler to get the full 140 hp. Because stock after 20 psi starts defueling its self so it doesn't over boost

Question: 2003 F350 7.3, When Plug in the edge cts cord to my OBD2, it messes with my door jamb switch sensor and battery saver relay. I shut the truck down and open the door, the radio stays on and door ajar lights do not come on. When I take the edge plug out of the OBD2, door sensors and battery saver relay work properly. Have you heard of this.

Hi, did you have any issues with the CTS3 connecting to the OBD2? I had the CTS3 and I just installed the hydra and now the cts isn’t connecting and can’t load the PIDs! Any recommendations will be appreciated.

No no issues at all but I installed the monitor after I put the hydra on it. My best advice would just to unplug everything and replicate it back in but I’m sure you already tried that.

I disconnected my battery before I installed the hydra, in process it reset the CTS3, and now the CTS3 can’t communicate with the PCM to get any gauges to upload. Should I not disconnect the batteries!? That sounds kind of sketch!

Problem solved! I put the hydra on 00 or bypass and then I connected CTS and did a factory reset. Now everything is synched and working good!

Hey I need your opinion I drive a 1999 7.3 super duty it has a lift pump set at 80 psi fuel and an intercooler and turbo has disabled actuator making bout 25 psi boost it has the hydra tuner and a 0 to 60 is 11 seconds non boosted I tried to do a 10 psi boosted launch but it could barely hold the tires still at 5 psi is something wrong with it I see everyone else getting like 8 seconds on supposedly stock 7.3s and it also has a cold air intake and 4 inch turbo back exhaust no tip and a short steel flatbed any ideas why it slow

It could be a combination of a few things. Most likely your injectors are shot as well as a HPOP could be weak. If your HPOP can build 3600psi then it’s fine. Could be overfueled too, the recommendation on basically stock 7.3Ls is 65psi fuel pressure.

Yeah definetly injectors brotha my injectors are stock at 480k miles and I’m still getting 9 seconds for 0-60

@@powerstrokecentral, i’m betting if you run a cylinder contribution test on the injectors you’ll have a few that fail. If those truly are original injectors then they have to be pretty tired. Buzz testing the injectors will tell you if any of the solenoids are failing. If any are quiet or you don’t hear anything then the injector is bad.

Try running some stiction eliminator in the oil, and some diesel extreme in the tank will give the injectors some life and will make the truck feel better
