Getting jiggy with the chain I see LOL and they all turned out amazing. You never want silicon when doing a chain pull. Good thinking👍 Although I tried it once and it was pretty cool but almost disappeared LOL

I bet the chain technique would create some beautiful gingko. I like the first one, the brown one, best. Normally I don't care for dark backgrounds, but the gold and white compliment and lighten up the brown nicely.

You can add water to thin the paints but I find the patterna are more defined with thicker paint. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching 🖌 🙂

There's a variety of types at Michael's but I think this one is called a chain "link." It was super long so I broke it in four or five pieces. I hope that helps and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 🖌🙂

I put a thin layer of black for the base, but it turned the yellow flowers dark. What did I do wrong?

Hi, your paints were probably too thin, and or you may not have tiled enough paint off the base. Also, yellow and gold make brown, so that's more than likely what happened. I hope that helps. 🙂

What do you mean tiled the paint off? It was black bass with yellow, not gold. Are there some instructions that I can get somewhere so that this does not happen again with mixing the colors? Ty!!

@rhondabrown1258 I mean "tilt" the paint off the canvas after you pour on your base color. Gold or yellow can make brown, but from your description, it sounds like your consistency is off. 🙂

Thank you for that. These were already premixed for acrylic pours so I'm not sure what I needed to do about the consistency. Any suggestions?
