the one thing i do disagre with is that mac wasnt the main cause of our problems. he most definetly was. He by himself threw away three to four winnable games with inexcusable plays. cant make decisions under pressure, would fall on his behind at the first sight of a defender instead of trying to break it open and save the play. he was very toxic too even if it wasnt intentional. brought a lot of negativity. instead of trying to learn and get better he was always looking sorry for himself. not to mention how cringy/corny the dude was. if we had another just average qb who knew what plays to make and when we woulda won 7-8 games. the defense is really good, the o-line is bottom 5 in the league, but other than that theres a lot of reason for optimism. still need a wr1 but the young guys can definetly hold it down for now if bourne comes back to his pre injury last year form. theres no way its the worst team/roster in the league. Carolina is wayyyy worse all around. giants too. couple teams might take a step back as well

@@putmeincoachpod2024 no doubt ill be sticking around, want to see you guys keep at it. too many ytbers just follow narratives and dont actually break down individual players and fits and whatnot. @@billymitchell4015 Defense definitely keeps it from being the worst roster. I just think the offense has a long way to go before I can really say this team is gonna make noise. They should definitely win some games though, so we’ll see. Haha yes Mac Jones really regressed, there’s no question. Not a great QB. I do also think Bill did a bad job stacking the offensive side of the ball, especially for an immobile QB. Great insight man, thanks for engaging.

@@putmeincoachpod2024 yeah no youre right, bill def wasnt adapting to the new way of the league. it was really frustrating. But the offense definetly does have a ways to go but people acting like theres nothing to grow on. Polk, Baker, Pop, and boutte are all very young and unproven but have tremendous potential, as well as being able to help right away and improve as they go. Osborne is sleptttt on too i think the guy has wr2 written all over him with way more looks now being out from under JJ shadow. what im sayin is heres definetly reason for optimism. Not saying we'll have a great year but we will see positive things. O line is only thing that really truly scares me.

Every team has to go through it at some point. Or if you’re my Lions, 30 years uninterrupted.

Completely agree on all fronts. Until the Patriots can turn the page on the Bellichick era and philosophy completely; they are going to struggle. They have no identity without Tom and Bill. Sure their defense keeps them in games, but if you can’t put up points to get ahead, what’s the point? This team has to completely start over and make a culture change. Until they do that they look like the Walking Dead out here. Take off your letterman jacket and give it up. Kraft needs to do Ayahuasca with Rodgers.

Calm down with the clowns stuff. You’re isolating one point from a 45 minute breakdown of a team and name calling us because one guy broke down a strategy that would’ve built the roster up? Who’s he playing with? You’ve drafted your QB and that’s great. Everybody knows it’s a quarterback league, but with a bottom tier offensive line and weapons group, the idea of building the roster up was an interesting concept. They elected to draft Maye, and we’ll see how that pans out. Relax, man. You can get your point off about your team without disrespect, I promise. Thanks for watching anyway. 🙏

Do they have the QB tho? Do you feel comfortable saying that?

@putmeincoachpod2024 again you guys seem clownish If you have the chance to get the guy you do it no questions asked. Remind me how did jets, broncos, Cleveland, and Falcons do without their guy? Jets had to give their future up for aaron Cleveland gave up their future for watson and it hasn't worked out Broncos gave up their future for russ who isn't on the team Falcons felt like they needed insurance policy and don't know if they have the guy. Hell texans were supposed to be awful remind me how they were, "who was he playing with" Cincinnati had mid guys until joe Higgins was a rookie as well when Joe was drafted Now let's look at it Bourne was on pace for 1k yard season with mac jones throwing the ball Pop, zay jones lite, if he stayed healthy probably would of gotten 700 yards as a rookie Plus anything from camp is baker and douglas is tearing up 1 on 1s against that secondary

@andyirwin1008 absolutely, drake has been playing with backups. Other day he had the starters and it's night and day, you can tell the upside is there as well

@@ryancampbell4801 Again, chill on the "clown" talk. We weren't disrespectful to you, and now you seem emotional. Relax. We have a take that you disagree with. If you think Maye is the guy, so be it, but don't get on here and call us clowns and then try and sell me on this weapon core, because it makes you look like a homer. New England stinks, and will stink moving forward. This isn't a team that can win a division or a super bowl nor is it a team that will make the playoffs. Its a full tear down rebuild. You want to start with your QB, go ahead, but you're going to be bad for the foreseeable future. You're going to waste Maye's entire rookie contract trying to put pieces around him.

Lol King Of The Toads on the left here definitely hurt from the Patriots dynasty. Newsflash: its not possible to address three of the most important positions (QB, T, WR) within one off-season. They got their QB first. Next offseason will be LT and more opportunities at WR. They'll be well on their way after that. And you know why? Because Belichick wont be there completing neglecting and mismanaging the offense as he has over the last few seasons. Drake Maye will be going into his 2nd year with potentially four more years to develop. So WTF is this screwed up timeline you speak of?
@putmeincoachpod202425 күн бұрын
@@PoorFamz it’s definitely possible when you get a haul for the very sought after 3rd overall pick. You coulda gotten 3 first rounders from MN, 11 (LT), 23 (RE) and next years first. That was fully on the table. Your best interior player is sidelined with blood clots, your other best player just forced his way to Atlanta and half your fan base wants the 7th round rookie QB to start over the guy you took at 3. Trust me, I loved Brady and had fun watching the Pats dynasty but newsflash (see what I did there?) the dynasty is very much over and you easily have the worst roster in the NFL going into this season now. It’s going to be a very long couple of years but congrats on your QB! You just need everything else now, and by the time you get it, you’ll have to pay your QB tons of money. That’s the screwed up timeline.
@PoorFamz25 күн бұрын
@@putmeincoachpod2024 in your scenario, it still takes multiple years to rebuild. What's your point? If you believe you have your QB, you take him. Plain and simple. I think the the Bills, Chargers and Texans would agree with that. Yes the Patriots are rebuilding. It takes MULTIPLE seasons to rebuild. You acknowledge they're in a rebuild, but trash them for rebuilding. LOL learn ball.

@@PoorFamz who trashed them for rebuilding? Lmfao I wanted them to rebuild differently. You take the haul from MN you can turn this around in 2 seasons opposed to 5. It’s not hard to understand lmfao

@@putmeincoachpod2024 says who. You? If you hit on Maye, you turn it around in one season. Whose playing QB in your scenario? You must not know that position exists. Imagine if the Texans passed on Stroud LMAO. It's literally proof your take is 🗑️
@putmeincoachpod202425 күн бұрын
@@PoorFamz Yes, me. I’m standing on my take. The Texans are a completely different situation from the Patriots, you can’t even kind of compare them. Texans had their elite LT, A really good WR and a CB1 already on the roster. You don’t have that. They also made a really bold decision and traded up with Arizona and took Will Anderson? Why are you leaving that part out? If you guys took Maye and then traded with Arizona to take Latu this wouldn’t be my take, but you didn’t. Your O line is terrible, your Dline is terrible, your weapons core is terrible. You hired from within and have a two meh coordinators. Texans have a superstar HC and OC. Thinking this is anywhere close to Houston really shows your lack of knowledge, truly, it shows delusion. You’re not turning this thing around in a season, I expect you to be picking top 3 again next year. This is going to be a really long stretch for patriots fans. Thanks for watching tho, appreciate the banter 🙏
