Audrey - well besides the stress of losing everything to the fire and the stress of building, you are also dieting. As a lifelong dieter, in my personal experience, you and the husband are undereating to the extreme. You should both be getting at least 1800 calories per day, less tells your body that you are in a famine and use everything you are giving it for the essential body functions. In response to the stress and lack of nutrition, you are fatigued and losing your hair. What has worked for my fellow dieters and myself, is to increase protein intake (you should both be getting at least 100 grams of protein per day). If you aren't eating a lot of fish, 1 or 2 iodine drops in your morning coffee will help. And of course, collagen will help. Now this isn't an over night process but within 2-3 months you should see lots of new hair growth. And Sleep is essential to the body! So, slow down and take a nap! Go to bed earlier and lighten up (not stop) the work out. Your body will thank you and reward you with great success! Best of luck

About the hair loss: get your iron levels checked (ferritin). Also, taking collagen and signifficantly up your intake of protein has helped me so so much! All the best from Germany❤
@TereasaChristophersonTso11 ай бұрын
I concur with getting iron levels checked. Most women are deficient and most doctors don’t check ferritin levels when you get your vitamin levels checked. I’m a big fan of taking a nonconstipating iron supplement daily. It’s helped my hair a lot. And my mom swore by her biotin supplement.

Audrey, you make me tired just watching your very FULL work day! I have used the boiling water trick for many years as I cook a lot on cast iron which can be a pain to clean with stuck on food. It's good to have your hubby chip in to help you too being you both are both working jobs. Thanks for sharing your life with us!

Have you tried biotin? Stress is a huge contributor to hair loss/gray hair, etc. Speaking from experience here. It's hard to limit stress when you're going through trauma like that. You'll be ok and think of your thinning hair like a badge of honor for where you've come from. Battle scars😊

I’m newly retired and have decades of cat rescue behind me, which means lots of cleaning with pet-safe products and little time to organize a personal life. I’ve been working on going through everything in my home & keeping only what is necessary. I’ve learned tips & techniques from you. I was heartbroken for you & your family when you lost your home and pets. Im so happy that you are rebuilding. Im no longer active in cat rescue, and am replacing worn out tools & furniture. I could use the stick vac. 🥰

I don't know of any magic products but seems the what might be adding to hair loss is you wear your hair pulled back tight.. so maybe wear it more loose.

I tried a lot of things for thinning hair. I still am working back to it. What actually helped my hair start coming back in was a program called FASTer Way to Fat Loss. I didn’t use it for fat loss, I used it for balancing my hormones & healing my relationship with food. The perks were that I started down the road to a better food relationship, I gained muscle, I learned how to fuel my body & a few other random perks, hair growth being one of them. Highly recommend the program if you can fit it into your budget.

New to your lovely channel. I’m obsessed! I have female pattern baldness and it’s more severe for the average person who has thin hair. I take biotin (over the counter) and 2 prescribed meds from my dermatologist. You’re probably not at that stage but one of them is minoxidil (which is rogaine) as a pill, not topical. I also use Nioxin for my shampoo. Everyone I know who’s had hair loss or thinning due to age or illness uses this product and loves it. I’ve been using it for 2 months now and my hair definitely looks healthier and fuller. Also, I would not recommend tying your hair, being pulled into a knot can cause poor blood circulation. To get the hair out of my face, I wear a headband. Maybe a looser bun with a silk scrunchie would also be better. Good luck! :)

Have you tried collagen for your hair? After a catastrophic accident, lots of meds, lots of surgeries lost the majority of my hair. I started to add collagen to my first coffee of the day and use a frother to mix it in. My hair is growing so fast and is way thicker than prior to the accident!! Try it!!

Hi there I’m a hairstylist and my best suggestion to start would be have you heard of biotin? It’s a vitamin that promotes growth for hair and nails. Also taking drinking water promotes hair growth. Also look into a good professional thickening shampoo and conditioner
