Thanks for all the videos. Evertonian from Scotland as was a student in Liverpool and ended up stewarding during the 90s. The blue brickwork is stunning and a good splash of colour to a fairly neutral but stunning plaza. As for the lighting I don’t think they’d go to all that trouble just for that fairly underwhelming blue spotlight. Some stadium lighting is amazing so hopefully this will be too. My only other criticism of an amazing looking build is the safety fence on the roof seriously detracts from the effect of the curve meeting the sky. With all the safety lines they have in place I fail to see why it’s needed. Architecturally it’s a visual blight. Can’t wait to get down.

Nick, PoI's: 1) @ 2:38 mins, we can see that they have installed Signposts near the Cut-throughs of the Regent Road Wall, placed near either end of the run of the bollards. 2) @ 2:39 mins, we can see that they have brought a few stacks/pallets to the south side of the North two-tier bench, presumably because they're expecting to be starting to lay the blue-glazed bricks on the bench this next week. 3) @ 3:45 mins, we can see that they have started to fit the wind-baffle panels into the large frames along Nelson Dock-side. 4) IF, and it is a big IF, the plans for The Everton Way are carried out as per the visualisations, then we will be able to see " E V E R T O N " spelled out along the South Concourse, with people's memorial stones hugging the letters and larger stones dedicated to the Legends. It's still possible that EFC will be installing (new) statues and benches in between the large Wind-baffle structures along the Nelson Dock-side in the customisation phase. 5) @ 4:15 mins, we can see that they have at last fitted the last piece of fascia above the east end of the south window. 6) @ 6:32 mins, we can see a lorry sitting on the north Isolation Bridge. Yellow asphalt had already been applied to the north Isolation Bridge before they've covered it with matting and the lorry sitting on that. 7) @ 7:55 mins, the repainting of all the steels seems to be taking forever. Now a whole lot more of the black upright posts have become temporarily undercoated white.

If there isn’t any wind and it rains, every fan will stay dry. In the likely scenario that it rains and there’s wind, the fans in the north and east stands are likely to get wet because the prevailing wind is from the south west

Graeme: so, here's the thing. The design was to ensure that the seating is as close to the pitch as rules allow and the rake of the terracing steep. This was the brief to close the fans in on the pitch for all sorts of good reasons, mainly intimidation. For the sake of the pitch, not covering the whole roof is a good idea, so the compromise is that in 'unclement weather' some fans in the nearest pitch-side rows in the NNE/NE/ENE (mostly Away Fans) will be reminded that rain is wet. But then they'll already know that from attending other grounds, even GP. It is, after all, a real, live football ground, not a sitting-room.

I very much doubt the council and Historic England will allow Nelson Dock to be filled in. It was difficult enough obtaining permission to fill in Bramley Moore. Also, the water from the Leeds-Liverpool Canal flows into Nelson Dock, then the water channel, Sandon Dock and out into the Mersey.

iarlao: the Q about seats has been answered hundreds of times. You should take the time to read the comments by others. The seats will remain blue unless a Naming Rights Sponsor influences a change. Bums on seats mean that any 'messages' in the seats get obscured anyway. IMO, I think the all-blue makes it appear modern-classy. Yes, advertising boards are expected to be installed but we will have to see if and when during EFC's customisation phase.

No, Mike, there will be no gaps or gates along the north perimeter. Please accept that 10m width between the middle of the North Stand Brick Facade and the north perimeter fencing is much the same width as 3 standard motorway lanes. It's wider than 10m at the western end, as the perimeter fence is at a slight angle to the stadium. There will be NO fans migrating along the northern concourse. Nil, zip, nadir, end of. The Away fans will go no further than Gate 24 at the eastern end of the north Stand. Any land to the north of the north perimeter fencing is UU's land, not EFC's. EFC will not make it possible for fans to trespass on UU's land, in just the same way that they have to make sure no one trespasses on PEEL Group's Mersey Wall property either.

@@mikeoglen6848 All that you are seeing there, Mike, is the remains of the access route that LoR were using but now tidied up. They will still be using that access route for now and until there is no longer a need for construction traffic to be accessing the pitch, the West Quay or the West Concourse. They won't want to dirty the new roadway under the overhang until they really need to and handover. He he, yes, it's true that 3 lane motorways don't have pillars between lanes 2 and 3 but as vehicles will need only to be using the central lane and a bit, it's still not an issue. There will be so little traffic even on non-match days, never mind the restricted practices on Match Days. And there will be no people migrating down that route en masse, only a the odd dozen of stadium staff. So, to carry on the analogy of yours: how many times have you seen a three-lane motorway empty of traffic (and people) and have thought "Whoa! This could be dangerous overcrowding here and the occasional lorry travelling along here won't be able to stay in lane?" 😉

They’re air exhaust vents placed in front of extractor fan outlets. The west stand is the main stand and, therefore, has more kitchens/hospitality and, therefore, has more vents than the east barrel cladding

Robert, unfortunately I haven't recorded my calculations when they were finished about 3 months ago and I can't recall which video's I had entered the comment in order to find them. LoR or EFC have never released information on the exact specs nor the total amounts. The summary is that it will be helping to reduce costs and boost the 'profile' of sustainability but it most certainly won't be powering the whole stadium. There ARE batteries and in the summer, when there are fewer night events but greater capacity to produce power, the proportion of the stadium needs that the solar panels and batteries supply will obviously be much higher than in the winter when the ability to produce PV electricity is much lower and the need greater.

It’s not to combat the frost because there’s undersoil heating but, yes, seed has been sown. The covering is to stop birds eating the seed, increase humidity, and to protect from the wind.

The players will be let out at the central entrance under the steps and mezzanine. Peel own Nelson Dock. The council and Historic England definitely won’t allow the filling in of Nelson Dock. It was difficult enough securing permission to fill in BMD. Peel’s Liverpool Waters development has approval and, as part of those plans, Nelson Dock remains as it is. Also, the water from the Leeds-Liverpool Canal has to flow into Nelson Dock, through the water channel, into Sandon Dock and out into the Mersey. They cannot fill in Nelson Dock. They should have chosen a 60K capacity but the decision has been made now.

Everton have only leased the land from Peel Holdings on a 200 year lease, if Friedkin wants to lease Nelson Dock too for 200 years, he will need to talk to Peel Holdings.

That won't be the final finish of them. They have only turned them on to start the testing. They'll widen them out so they are continuous not just a load of dots and They'll also be tilted back so they light more of the barrel cladding up.
