I didn't realise until i published it but at around 1:10 you can see the machine actually stitching it in

I’m wondering what type of club branding the stadium will have. Crests above the stadium entrances on the east and west stands?
@davidbadcock222543 минут бұрын
Thanks for this, Colin. Well, well, I am amazed and I have been stitched up. 🙃 All the SIS and Everton Stadium artciles/videos stated that stithcing would commence about 6 weeks after the seeding. Clearly not here, now. I think at the end of this video the SIS Stitcher was being hitched up to re-energise. SIS suggest the machine is electrical so I'd guess that the trailer on the back of the tractor in the Tunnel is a fuelled-generator (@14:08 mins). So, all my comments to others elsewhere about the 6 weeks and waiting for the grass to create a mat is now proven false. I wonder if the other piece of Official SIS advice, that it takes about 7 days to do the stitching of a full-size FIFA pitch, turns out to be false too. I apologise to anyone I have inadvertently mislead. PoI's: 1) @ 4:32 mins, it looks as though they are undertaking the black tarmac underlayers for the outer west Quay driveway(s). 2) My attention has been grabbed @ 6:57 mins, and later, by the small white circles in the asphalt surfaces that are in vaguely diagonal straight lines leading towards the DNOC. Anyone got any ideas as to what they are or are clues to something underneath, such as electrical supply line inspection hatches? 3) @ 7:30 mins, we can see they have progressed well with the laying of Granite Setts along the north edge of the Southern Isolation Bridge. It looks as though one contractor is preparing the area around the Sluice Control Gate and valves manhole covers before that gets filled in too. 4) @ 8:57 mins, we can now see that what looked like a stack of Heritage Rails waiting to be laid, the green fork-lift shows to be the Plaza Signposts, most of whoich have been installed now.

@@davidbadcock2225 I was certainly surprised with the amount of stitching that had already been done (10am) although I guess we don’t know what time it started today or if it was started late on Monday. The machine was in the SE corner late on Monday.

Does anyone know (paging David Badcock) what will happen to the area between the fence and the dock where the decking is?
@davidbadcock222537 минут бұрын
It's a question I've been wondering about too. I do know that the plans show that it'll be composite decking thoughout, with a Capping Beam on the outer vertical edge. I have had to assume that they will have either a little cherry-picker lean over the balustade and edge for the contractor to use, or that someone that picked the short straw will be in a dinghy (🙃). If they require a machine to go on the decking, then it won't have had access until the ski-slope end of the decking at the southern end is completed.

Really hope they’re not tv platforms in the south stand they look awful
@davidbadcock222541 минут бұрын
Most likely. There are meant to be 7 TV Plinths/Platforms around the bowl.
@cp-overview39 минут бұрын
They are definitely temporary
@davidbadcock222525 минут бұрын
@@cp-overview I'm certainly happy for them to be temporary. But, I just thought it relevant to point out that, at the same time, TV Plinths were meant to be installed in those vicinities, even if against the back wall. Changes to the plans have been numerous.
@cp-overview19 минут бұрын
@@davidbadcock2225 that is very true, but I would of presumed they would of taken the seats away if they was permanent plus surely they would have to be against that back wall.
@davidbadcock222512 минут бұрын
@@cp-overview I don't disagree with those points and I DO get that they might be to help create CGI imaginations of the views from anywhere in the lower tier. maybe they will keep moving them about the stands upper tiers too. We shall have to watch and wait.

To my eyes, the yellow road surface looks naff and doesn't blend with the aesthetics of the stadium.
@craiggoddard4883 сағат бұрын
It’s a underlayer
@jhjl12 сағат бұрын
@@craiggoddard488 I hope so!
@davidbadcock222528 минут бұрын
You'll have to get used to 'naff', I think. The plans do show coloured asphalt in the tan-to-yellow pallette for the roadway, even as the final layer. It's designed to be clear what is roadway. The area where cars will park are in the light-grey.

This ground should have put a retractable roof on it.
