I am so sorry Kat for the loss of your mom. We just found out my husband is terminal (brain cancer) and we have a young child. My husband is 53 and was first diagnosed at the end of July and in the beginning of November he was terminal so it’s been a hard hit to the whole family. He is doing hospice at home and we are grateful for every day he is still here. I love to craft to keep my mind off of what is going on even if it’s only for a short period of time. My prayers are with you and your family during the holidays.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard that is. I lost my daughter in August and these holidays were really difficult. What has helped me is getting to watch crafting videos to help me make gifts for people and decor for my home. My daughter was so artistic and creative and wherever I look in my house, she is there. First, I want to let you know that my heart goes out to you. I have lost my father and after 6 years it still hurts, especially around holidays and at the anniversary of his passing. Taking time for yourself is important. Know that you are in my prayers and I am sending you big hugs from North Carolina. Second, it touches my heart knowing you are a special Ed teacher. My grandson was shaken and abused by his father while my daughter was at work. He now has numerous disabilities. I am an in-home healthcare aide and one of my clients is a young guy who is physically and mentally disabled. My respect & appreciate goes out to you. You have a big heart. Kat, I’m so sorry for your loss!! I lost my Mom on April 28, 2019 and it doesn’t get any easier but you will find a way to deal with it. I saw a statement that really touched me, LET GO AND LET GOD, it’s hard to do that but that helped me more than anything. All these anniversaries and “firsts” without them are so very hard. My experience was the anticipation was actually worse than the actual holiday, even or anniversary; and when the day actually came, it wasn’t as horrible as I had anticipated. The pain softens over time and won’t be as stabbing and chest crushing. Sending you so much love and strength to get through this time. ❤️

Our mama had a stroke 3 years ago which left her living in an extended care retirement home.. my sister and I could not figure out how to carry on with our regular daily lives during the holidays because we didn’t know how to do it without our mama being there in our home. It’s like we were grieving her being gone, even when she was right there.. we ended up going to her home and had the best time.. it’s the new normal but nothing better than being with loved ones..

I love all of your crafts and you always make me laugh ❤️ Lost my mom in 2018 after six years of dementia so it was like losing her twice. Lost my sister after a very quick illness in 2020. She was my best friend and crafting buddy. I miss them more every day. I pray that your happy memories of your mom will some day ease the pain of your loss. Oh Honey I know how hard your struggle is. Our mama’s are our first friends. I lost mine 20 years ago and still miss her every day. I am praying for God to comfort you and wrap you with his love. It is hard but know you do have a lot of life to live now but God promises us we will see our loved ones again so know you will one day reunite with her again one day in life everlasting. I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. Holidays are always difficult. I have lost both parents, spouse, and a child. It is always a difficult time. They are not gone but just in the next room. We do learn after each loss to cherish a little more those we do have. Best wishes.

Hi Kat and as usual I loved every one of these 🌹🌹🌹 and definitely making the tiered boxes with the stones I was thinking of you during the holiday knowing it was your first without your mom and had you in my prayers….. everything just isn’t the same and the emptiness echoes even louder during certain times. I find myself when I start going down that dark hole and just say I need time to kick my wounds and sometimes it’s a couple of days or a few weeks but that’s how grief is. I lost my husband in March of 2018 and everything is different even me 💔especially me. It’s like I am haunted and relive his last 12 hours begging me to help him. Ugh the struggle is real and then somehow something releases the pain and we breathe again. I am glad you are back and doing what you love ( this year crafting saved my life) I missed you girl and know many many people are here for you

KAT my heart is with you during this New Year! I love your channel. I lost my brother, 17 years ago this April. My mother was in shock for several month’s thereafter. She has since been diagnosed with dementia. She doesn’t always remember who we all are, but if we can make her laugh it’s a great day. My Mom and I were very close. So, I feel like I’m mourning the loss of her. Which I feel guilty about because she is still with us. I miss being able to just call her on the phone and talk over our issues together. She could always set me straight, if i needed it or give me great advice and I would listen to her too. I called her today and she didn’t know me at all. I understand it and never want her to feel bad about it so I just go with the flow with her. Happy 2022! Best wishes for a joyous year ahead. Crafting does the same thing for me as it does you!

Love all the projects but definitely like the Home one. Hang in there! Holidays are always hard when you have lost a love one. My mom passed away on Valentine's Day and this past holiday was really hard. Then I did not get to go visit my kids and grandbabies. It was hard to keep my spirit up. My dad passed away in 09 but still the holidays do not seem right without him either. Sending you hugggggggs!

This is also my first holiday season without my Dad who passed away in March from colon cancer. Also my last 2 babies flew the nest! One in Navy basic training and the other moved away. So it was weird this year! I put up 4 Christmas trees to occupy my mind! But life must move forward and I refuse to let it bring me down. I have been watching you for about 2 1/2 years and I consider your crafting my therapy too! You always make me laugh with you DIY fails! So keep busy and push through.
