If they could return clearly they wouldn't. Look at the crisis that's happening in their country. I do think that there is a different way of life and lack of awareness. There is a shelter next to my job and to see the women that is pregnant is disturbing. We need competent and seasoned leadership to help overcome the issues and dumping them in the street is the equivalent of unleashing hungry wild animals in nyc. Our leadership is literally and intentionally harming our citizens.

This is silly... if someone was willing to travel all the way across the world to come here, then they will do what they need to move forward in their journey. That's one of my biggest complaints with 'nonprofits' and their 'advocates.' They will always infantilize a population and make them wholly dependent when they are motivated and self-reliant to begin with. Yes, they need help, but after a year, they have to figure it out just like the rest of us. Stop taking our limited resources and creating even more permanent burdens.
