@@dobysimson3312He stated that in 2015, after trying to comeback with no success and being diagnosticated the requirement of another two surgeries, he retired from tennis but never communicated that to media and the fans, since didn't find a way to do it that he liked (this events are also described in "El Milagro Del Potro", a Delpo's bio written by Sebastian Torok). Anyway, after a couple of months from that decision being made, he changed his mind, took the phone, called Dr. Berger and started his third attempt of coming back to professional tennis, this time with huge triumphs and two historical performances against Murray and Cilic in the Davis Cup.

Th biggest what if of this era, he definitely could've been in that grand slam sweepstakes every year if he didn't get Big injuries so many times ( he missed more than 4 entire seasons in his prime) and we could've had a big 5 instead of big 4 era. Definitely will go down as one of the most loved, juans the definition of a gentle giant

In terms of country related success, Delpo won a Davis Cup and 2 olympics medals. Messi won a U-20 world cup and and olympic gold. I think these two and Manu Ginobili are the best athletes of the current era for Argentina
