Mogwai, I just want to clarify that the expansions sadly isn't over 200 cards! They''ve stated it is 140+ cards (which seems rather low). Also, trading comes out a day before the expansion, not 3 days before. There's a Lucario card as well in their press release.

Yeah they are consistent with the colors each dragon need. Grachomp uses fighting/water. Rayquaza uses lightning/grass. They mostly go with the pokemon's color palette

it's super strong, but the 2 energy cost makes it actually balanced, i'm glad it's not absurdly broken if you think about it, you have to wait for turn 3 to deal 30 and start ramping (turn 5 if you go first)

I like Dialga a lot, you can get some wacky decks up and running like a golem deck with 0 rock energy can be a thing since you can run Brock to fulfill that 1 fighting energy. also adding an ability to ramp that golem to be an earl game threat vs mid to late game.

Fun fact: Dialga-Ex strongest attack does 100 damage while in the games Roar of Time, his signature, has 150 power, and Palkia's attack does 150 damage whereas in the games Spacial Rend has 100 power.

I can see a really strong deck coming: -2 PALKIA EX -2 ARTICUNO EX -2 EEVEE -2 VAPOREON -2 PROFESSOR OAK -2 LEAF -2 MISTY -1 SABRINA -1 GIOVANI -2 POKEBALL -1 X-SPEED -1 POTION Start Tanking and slashing with PALKIA EX while building up VAPOREON and ARTICUNO EX on the bench. When PALKIA is low on hp, LEAF It to the bench and start hitting with ARTICUNO. Then PALKIA comes back for the final blow.

Dilaga is just steel Moltres: - both of them set up your bench, one after 1 turn but with the uncertainty of coin flips, the other after 2 turns but with 2 energies guaranteed; - both of them have underwhelming damage outputs considering the energies required. I prefer Dialga because dealing 30 damage while you set up your bench is so important for putting pressure on the opponent

Dialga and Palkia are leads. With Dialga its bottom attack is slow because it will do 60 damage before it uses it. So essentially you can set up your second pokemon by attacking, lose Dialga but you'll likely get that final attack off one time. 160 clears almost everything, if you look at it as 4 energy 160 attach 4 energy to a pokemon its pretty absurd - but its versatile. Notably you can attack put two on bench dialga, switch, attack put two on bench dialga for some interesting swap outs. With Palkia 150 for 3 energy seems weak, except that again you'll get to poke for 90 before you use that attack - on top of that, You'll still have 1 energy left on Palkia. So if they didn't immediately bring in their bench attacker to clear it, if they were behind a druddigon for instance, it can poke once or twice against a starmie, putting in range of your Starmie on the crack back. Your opponent can't wall Palkia because it can live in the fight box and reasonably retreat and its a problem at every stage of the game, this is just hitmonchan but better and hitmon chan sees some fringe play in the fightbox deck. Dialga sets up a finisher while being a finisher and that's a problem, it just wants to lead, however it can also reasonably retreat. Notably Dialga survives an Arcanine hit which is key because Arcanine has been better than Charizard but this might change that up. These make the Meta game more complicated because they lose to Starmie and Pikachu but race almost everything else in a creative way and will require a lot more Hitmonlee like effects to pin them down. Honestly the Rocky Vest and Lucario Combo seem nutty to me. I don't wanna race that.
