So, it doesn’t just bend trees, but there’s a visible distortion wave in the air. Very cool. Now, if they could add vapor to that wave when the humidity is right. …if that’s practical to do. They’ve probably already thought about it.

It's daft to think in a flight sim, or even combat sim, ED suttle changes to clouds, tree, grass, movement effects, bomb effects, fire, cluster munitions changes over 2023/24 are just simply fantastic and for me create more emersion and really lift up, enhancing DCS. I, for one simply love them.

Great improvment but i feel the dust and cloud effect disperses to quickly although i have no experience of real life explosions :p
@leedove72556 ай бұрын
Probably but that will be a performance trade off. The longer they hang around the more render time needed.

@@Andrew-13579 I think Jabbers has probably done this over the course of several years. But it's certainly something I'll consider. It's not really my wheel house though in fairness.

@Andrew-135796 ай бұрын
@@leevohs2662 Sorry. I don’t know. I was suspecting. I did discover on Jabbers’ YT channel that there’s an Asteroid game Easter egg in the back seat of the Tomcat. I haven’t tried it, though. You all probably know that…which shows how little I know.

El polvo en suspensión o el humo de las explosiones es muy poco realista, desaparece en pocos segundos.

the sound is like cyber explosion. not realistic actually

Seems like waaaay too much reverb. I'm no explosion expert but I have fired guns in the open, and the just go pop, not a big reveberating boooooom.
@ImpendingJoker6 ай бұрын
You're comparing small arms calibers with 30mm explosive munitions? Not even close to the same thing.
@machalot6 ай бұрын
@ImpendingJoker I'm not talking about the loudness, but the amount of reverb. Reverb requires distant surfaces to reflect the sound. And I'm referring to the bombs in the video, not the 30mm.

@silentone11111111 "don't critique DCS on realism"? I'm not super confident in my opinion but it's definitely fair game.
@SA80TAGE6 ай бұрын
@@machalot judging by the fact there's not the delay you'd get from that distance (including the warthogs flyovers), it's obvious the sound was added in later, and from a closer distance to what the video shows. Watched enough replays tracks of myself to know that. Creators enhance their sounds all the time. Drewski often tells his viewers he uses sound effects.
