the reason he looks like josh keaton is because, while they didn't do mocap, they recorded them while they were doing their lines and used it for reference when doing the cgi!

To understand Anduins current mind state you need to see the cinematics and cutscenes for Shadowlands

Regarding Anduin: In the expansion before that, which took place in the dimension of the cosmic force of Death, he was dominated/controlled by one of the Death Gods to be a tool for getting the keys he needed to get the part of his soul back, that was 'stolen' by the other Death Gods and get in to the "Adminstration Zone" of Death for a far worse goal. Anduin wasn't really forced to do much bad, even the other Death God he had to attack didn't die, but as he later admits, after being free again from this influence: a part of him had enjoyed that power. Since then he doesn't trust himself anymore, and fears that he could end like Arthas, another prince who was supposed to be a shining example, a warrior of light and just king, but instead became corrupted and insane, trying to slaughter all life on Azeroth and create an undead army out of it to serve him, the Lich King. So it's less about what he had done, more about what he fears he could do.

being sent to assassinate is pretty bad. Def not something you shrug off. Especially when your entire beliefs and being are guided and built around the Light.

Yes, the wonderfully talented Josh Keaton is still the VA for Anduin.

Nice. Its awesome to know that my favorite VA is still holding it down in the WoW games.

Anduin and Thrall are two of my favorite 4 in Warcraft. Was fun to see you watch it and discuss it

For how the giant sword got there, check out the Argus the Unmaker Defeat Cinematic from the Legion expansion. Yes, that sword's been sticking out of Silithus for three full expansions, leading to numerous "What sword?" memes. Blizzard even set up a photo op at BlizzCon with the sword, with a sign on either side; one sign read "What sword?" and the other sign read "That sword." All of this, of course, makes Thrall's delivery of the last line of the trailer especially amusing: "But _that sword_ (dramatic pause) was aimed at someone."

Battle for Azeroth was all about the consequences of the sword. It's not like they could take it out, they cleansed it and healed the wounds so its no longer a threat
@chamathnadeeshan4008 Жыл бұрын
Well it is true. BFA is all about the sword. All Horde Vs alliance war result of Azerite. Nzoth breaking free is also connected to sword, Xalatath also related to world soul from the beginning. It was the Shadowlands ruined everything. Ruined the flow of story, retconn many stories, ruined Arthas, Garrosh and many more who died....killed Ursoc for nothing, Anduin becoming corrupted, korthia story have no real connection to story, And ended with Jailor did nothing wrong...... Dragon flight was always supposed to be the big break expansion, the chill before next war.

The CGi in the Warcraft movie was very advanced for its time in it's CGI when it came to the textures on the Orcs and their expressions. That movie came out almost 8 years ago though. This cinematic blew away any CGI when he comes to showing realistic looking humans and orcs. The graphics in this are second to none CGI.
@Dajova Жыл бұрын
Not to mention, no mo-cap. It's all frame-to-frame handmade. They only did some reference takes and that was it. This is what they can do when they are allowed to work properly.
@straighttalkwithkyle7947 Жыл бұрын
@@Dajova yeah they could afford to do that and take their time on a short cinematic of this quality, that would be highly unrealistic in a full feature film where using motion capture with actors helps speed up the process a lot and makes certain movements look more natural. Visually the film is vastly underrated. I'm disappointed it failed because they got the look right, but some of the story failed to capture attention.

That sword was indeed crushed into the planet by a Titan, a God of the cosmic power Order (one of six, the others being Chaos, Light, Void, Life and Death), so he was corrupted by Chaos (and manipulted by Death), wagering a war to destroy all life in reality, so it can't be corrupted. The reason why he stabbed the planet in the last moments before the other Order Gods were able to contain him is unclear. One obvious theory is, that he tried to kill the planet. Another, that he wanted to destroy something inside - or maybe even an assumed prison, that keeps the soul of this planet sealed in it. But those are all theories.
