Some facts about Spring Day: It's the longest charting song in history on Korea's Melon chart. It has never left the Top 100 since its release 7 years ago. As of this week, it's #53. Every time BTS drop a new song, Spring Day jumps up the chart. It even once blocked their own comeback! It's not an exaggeration to call it the most successful Korean song, domestically. On the Melon chart, it's also the most liked song of all time, the most streamed song of all time, and the song with the most unique listeners of all time. If you visit South Korea, it's playing in every store and restaurant even 7 years later (I visited last summer and can attest this is true, LOL).

That is actually quite awesome... but then it is also like a monument for on of the largest most recent tragedies in SK and it might just have that "healing power" and give the sense of "companionship" and "we're in this together" feeling the country needed after that...

It amazes me again and again how RUN expresses so many, so intricate feelings, it catches me every time I listen to it and it makes me feel so much, defending one of my all-time favorites! You should follow-up with I NEED YOU (make sure to get the non-censored version) which came out just before RUN and fits into the theme and vibes. It also shows the lore in BTS' music very well!

Wow ich glaube du bist der erste Reactor, der Spring Day nicht nur als traurigen, sondern als schmerzvollen Song wahrgenommen hat. Ich glaube nicht, dass irgendeiner der (wahrscheinlich so 50-100) Reactions, die ich zu diesem Song bisher gesehen habe, das Gefühl, dass das Lied bei so vielen Menschen auslöst, sofort so gut beschreiben und die Details heraushören konnte. j-hope the one doing the low tone voice during the chorus, he's harmonizing with Jk (the normal main tone). A lot of armys got disappointed honestly when this released cause j-hope got no solo part, his parts for this song is doing the low tone during the chorus, so thank you for appreciating it T_T. But since Bighit got backlash during this release for not giving j-hope solo part, for the live version they gave him RM's first part of rap.

RUN and spring day both part of BU but spring day particularly depicts about the seoul tragedy , i strongly recommend the Italian army explanation video for spring day. I actually suggest some explanation videos for most of BTS MV because the visuals are always interconnected and has a story line but moreover the lyrics are toptier , they are so beautiful and when its comes to Rap their wordplay is next level. Also BTS BU is 👏 SPECTACULAR 👏. please check it out in your own phase.

It is definitely two voices, if not more. V is a great singer with a special voice but he is not a polyphonic singer who can produce two separate pitches at the same time.

I started off with V after I heard Danielle from NewJeans cover his Rainy Days.... I liked it so much I though, ok, lets listen to the original... Thats how I got into the whole BTS thing... But I stuck to V for a while first. I just started getting into bts which I actually explained at the beginning of the video.. I only really know V and JK and Jimin visually all the time. Even though I like JHope's songs I cannot remember his face... The rest still get mixed up in my head even though I watched the guides and tried to remember them. I've seen like 5 or 6 vids of the complete group. So yea.. you might laugh your 'a' off... but if you are so concerned about me not knowing all of that maybe it would have been better to tell me instead of making a very stupid and childish fuss about it. Why not be happy that someone is trying to discover a group you like and help a guy out....

Ok.. thanks for the clarification... I am a bit tense with comments on bts. Ever since I started reacting to them I get daily hate comments about me not knowing their names and stuff.. ppl calling me everything from nazi to other worse things that are filtered out by youtube... I enjoy the guys and praise them in my reactions and 30% of the comments I get are pure hate against me. That is why I have stepped back a bit from them because I don't feel like having that in my life. You can't imagin the backlash when i pronounced JKs name wrong... its stupid. On a pure listening level the song is fun ... If it wasn't fun to listen to then no one would listen to it. I have no idea on the background or anything so for me it was fun. But even if the song is emotionally deep or has a serious meaning it can be fun. For example the song Sunday Bloody Sunday has a very harsh and brutal topic, but the song is absolutely fun. As for Spring Day, I know know that it depicts the Sewol Ferry tragedy... I have ready loads of information on that since it happened throughout the years, I just didn't know that the song referring to that.

Pierre, thank you for your reaction. I love how you connect with both songs. Your comment about "Run" being about the rebelliousness and angst of youth is so apt. It is part of the youth trilogy. The trilogy is an important part of their discography because the first single of the trilogy, "I Need U" was their first music show win, which launched them on their way to superstardom. "Spring Day" was written based on RM's and Suga's feelings about their friends, though the MV contains many references to the Sewol Ferry tragedy. Suga (the rapper on the pile of clothes) has a solo song called "Dear My Friend" and we suspect that the friend he talks about in that song and in his verse here is the same person because he expresses the same feelings (missing him and hating him at the same time). It's one of my favorite solo songs from him.
