NEW favorite spot to camp on Charleston? Hilltop Campground

This week we hit the road solo to a campground I completely forgot existed on Mount Charleston! Hilltop campground isnt the biggest campground on the mountain but it sits at almost 8500 ft in elevation which makes it a great location to escape the Las Vegas heat! Enjoyed some amazing views from camp, hung out by the fire and made shrimp tacos and Cinnamon Rolls over the Tembo Tusk skottle !

Update on Carly's Oma - she fought hard for 3 weeks after emergency heart surgery at 84 years old but unfortunately she did not make it. Thoughts and prayers out to Carly and her family. Great to see you at Hilltop! That was the first places I camped at on Mt Charleston and have been back a few times. It's a perfect escape from the Vegas heat. I love it during the week, but weekends during the summer can be a nightmare. Lots of parties and sites that are made for one or two cars with 50 people till late hours. Praying for Carly's grandmother too 🙏 Hope all is well!

It was great out there! I was there on Thursday so it wasnt too rowdy but I could see that area get crazy on a weekend lol Sadly Carly's Oma didnt make it, she fought hard for 3 weeks but it was a tough recovery, Appreciate the support and prayers though. Thanks Bryan!

That is the best campground I have ever seen. Nice to get out of the dirt and the concrete should be good to discourage the desert creepy-crawlies. Boeshield T-9 is a good product to protect aluminum from corrosion and fading. Boeing developed it to protect aluminum on their planes. It is also a good lubricant for hinges, locks, chains, etc. Applied every few months it should end problems with your GFC, in fact GFC sells it at their Belgrade factory for new owners. You can sometimes find it at hardware places or online.

Try using some 303 on the faded parts... It'll help with the dullness and protect it from further sun damage

This spot is great, but depending on which campsite you're on, there's often a strong odor coming from restrooms. It's much worse on a windy day.

Yeah when I was walking around camp, I saw a few folks have their own privacy tent and bathroom setup at their campgrounds lol the bathrooms arent great and when I was walking past that bathroom right by the ridge the smell was pretty bad for sure

YOO lol I briefly mentioned it but the bathrooms at this campground were nasty. Straight up the worst bathrooms probably on this mountain (Mcwilliams facilities are always decently nice) but these smelled so bad and they were COVERED in flies and bugs so I dont blame em for freaking out, I was a bit freaked out myself hahaha

I would just keep a bottle of shine spray by Stoners and keep conditions the plastics from the sun damage you can even paint it in Autozone they have plastic paint for damaged plastic of vynl

Hilltop is one of the best. You can even see the Las Vegas Strip from some of the spots. The bathrooms are truly disgusting though. Bring your own toilet or at the very least eat first because you won't want to eat after you visit one of them.

Yeah if you look back through my last videos, we were camping in the middle of no where in the Dixie National Forest and have dispersed camped in a lot of different areas around southern NV. I dont always have all weekend to drive hours away to camp in the middle of no where so places like this are convenient just to get out and be in nature. Thanks for watching!

Do you have issues with water intrusion while the GFC is closed? my locking hinges are going bad I believe but I keep having the rear corners of my mattress wet when I open it.

No I dont think so.. but our GFC rarely ever gets rained on that hard where the desert doesnt dry it out within the next hour or so lol

P320 lools cool.. But is absolute garbage compared to CZ, Glock, M&P 2.0, HK VP.... Unreliable, hard to shoot,and expensive. I love my 365,and 226 Legion, but absolutely wasted money on my 320 Legion, 320 compact, and 320 Scorpion (although this one was very reliable).

Yea I will admit I paid a good amount of money for a 9mm lol but when I was looking for one the available stock of anything was pretty low so this had the best reviews that I had seen. I've never owned a sig but I like it, accurate out of the box, easy to shoot and it does look cool =p Thanks for watching man!
