One important tip: At 5:55 you should set your Viewer Gamma to Web rather than Broadcast. It took me YEARS to work out why my colors looked different after export than they did in Premiere Pro. It's because by default, PP displays colors for broadcast even though most users are not editing projects for broadcast. Even if you're not using templates, you can change these settings in the Settings tab of the Lumetri Color panel in any project.

11:02 All those obsolete effects are gone from my version. Adobe broke a fair few of my presets that I used those legacy effects for. I would've been fine with it had they replaced 'em with new, better versions but no, they just decided you're not allowed to have them anymore. I hate how they considered them "obsolete" in the first place. Some of us still found a lot of great uses for those old effects.

thank you for the information ! i have always problems with picking white balance on my playback monitor ( preview 4K monitor ) and picking color with HSLSecondary tab ! and with my laptopm Dell xps 15 lumetri color tab sliders not work if the tab is almost at the top of the screen ( i have to move the tab down to get working sliders for exposure ec ec ) also slow saving and opening project after adding warp stabilizer

Big thanks Javier for this video! I was waiting for linear timecode like forever. Last couple of months I bought some things to implement timecode with our weddings but it's not that simple. Do you considered doing dedicated video about this feature in premiere pro about linear timecode? I'm using Canon R5C + Canon R8 + Zoom F6 + Tentacle Sync + Rode Wireless Pro and I would love to see that kind of video with maaaany clips, because what you show in this video doesn't work for me atm... 😕

Yes, you can still scroll through frames if you scroll while hovering the mouse over the playback time below the program preview!

Sadly, obsolete has been gone for a while in the production versions. I used the Fast Color Corrector all the time for correcting footage, and somehow it is still present in older projects when I open them, but it can't be found in the effects panel.

Just for the people who want to use Timecode via audio channel. Note that if you ever plan to use sound from your recorded clip, sound of timecode may bleed into the second channel and ruin your whole audio. It is a known issue and has happened to me before. So make sure you have a good source of external audio when using this method.

Graphics, I move it all the time when moving clips, titles and other material around the screen. To get a Birds Eye view on the assets coming in and out of the screen. Also zooming in on the image to do detail work like masking, same as if you were doing something in photoshop.

Hey. Don't know if this is your bag, but any chance you can make a video about eliminating lag in Premiere Pro? For the last few months I'm experiencing lots of lag and stutter editing. I've upgraded to the latest i9 rig running with plenty of DDR5 RAM and an suitable SSD, but I'm still experiencing a issues. I've done all the usual things like creating proxies, running the monitor in 1/2 or 1/4, regularly deleting the cache, etc. but nothing really works. I know it'd generate a ton of views.

You might be using footage Premiere can't accelerate using a GPU. For example, 4:2:0 footage in ppro v24 is accelerated, but 4:2:2 footage is not and must be decoded by the CPU.

@GogoVictoria Make sure High Quality Playback is turned off (click the little Settings button at the bottom right of the Program monitor). If you're already using proxies, this may not make a difference but it might help.

Make sure you’re working on a fast SSD. The LACIE for instance is cool, but lags when editing off it unlike my Crucial SSDs. Also, make sure your project file and footage files are on different drives. All I can think of

I tried and abandoned "templates" before, because they did not store content to be reused. Seems you are doing that here, so please with the update, show and tell, and how are you getting effects into the template and displaying them? ANND: Is there any way to save these templates, WITH the content, to the cloud. Save All does not do it.

I don't really like the zooming with the scroll wheel. Is there any possibility to change it back to skipping through single frames like before (besides using an older version)?? That's way more useful for me, especially when you have to track and adjust a mask manually.

Another feature is losing your waveform if you use color labels in your timeline to distinguish between dialog, music, and sound effects. It took me forever to fix. Not to mention the app didn't open when the update was released, thankfully a user in Redditt had a solution but those bugs are unacceptable considering how basic those features are. Adobe needs to fix them!

Hello! Hey, I have a client that interviews random people on the streets and he only uses a GoPro 12 on his chest with the media mod. I need help editing audio because it's too difficult to do anything in order to fix it. The client is a one man band so carrying a boom or holding a mic won't happen. Besides people get nervous if you put a mic in their face. Sometimes people talk too softly and sometimes trucks and motorcycles pass not to mention the noisy city itself. If I use noise reduction, it sounds robotic and it's just too much work to just attack the noisy parts. What I do is key frame the levels up and down when they talk to low and hard cut to keep the vehicles from peaking red. Any ideas or other approach too takle this? Thanks

I feel bad for people in the premiere ecosystem. Sure it gets the job done. But geez does Davinci feel like a fresh god compared to premiere. Compare the performance of the two and that should be all you need to know. Effects being 'hardware accelerated' shouldn't be a feature update, it should have been implemented 5+ years ago. Premiere has always been a pain in my a. It never performed. Always was trying to confuse me. And I honestly believe Premiere makes you worse at editting, purely because of it's lacking consumer friendly features. Premiere makes you overthink every single step to reach your goal. Bin it.
