Thanks Eli your Tutorial, it is detailed , in depth and it works great for me cheers and Thumbs up , I have a question to which you'll have an experienced outlook, it'll be super helpful if you could throw some light on it I want to build a live performance of my 10 track album , completed on the previous Logic version. each track Uses 80 % midi tracks(instruments and synths) 20% Audio Instruments that i want to play live. I want to create just 1 Master session for the entire performance , All my tracks are on different tempos. What's the best way to achieve this -what i can think of is either shift them According to markers -intro-verse-bridge-chorus or selection range according to how many bars each section plays. do this with each Song but the instruments are different in each songs and go to cells or regions and assign new tempo. But i feel the project might overload the system :( Or may be just convert all the takes to mastered audio which are not played live , and fuse in the live instrumentation, still the variable tempo issue needs to be sorted , and is there any way to control the volume level of individual scenes.... So basically could really use your expert advise in this domain. Regards

Well, can't say I am enthused by the tones and song and feel .... but Eli as usual has summarized the essential elements of the steps I need to take to do some very cool compositional experimenting with the new Live Loops function. I always hated Ableton Live as a serious DAW, but I always liked the grid looping concept, and now I have it all in one place!

Music that comes out of it is really really horrible. But it doesn’t stay in the way, the tutorial is short and great. Thanks! Suggest you highlight shortcuts for tutorials (e.g., with screenFlow.app - it’s done automatically vs QuickTime screen capture).

everytime i record a cell, the other cells dont play along while i record... i had to manually play the whole scene... the option R thing you did in 4:03 didn't work for me

Hi Eli, good video, thank you. I want to use Live Loops with my own audio that I record in the Tracks view. But when I drag an audio region from Tracks into Live Loops, Logic runs "Analyzing Transients", which messes up the timing of the clip. It only seems to happen with audio that I've recorded into Tracks, i.e., not an Apple Loop. Any idea how to prevent Logic from messing up a perfectly timed audio region when dragging it over to Live Loops?

Great update, but there is one sad topic. The ability to automate product parameters has disappeared Spectrosonic((((

I know this popular in Ableton but how do you tell how many bars each "pad" is? The old style seems to make more sense to me. Although its moot as Apple has dropped compatibility for High Sierra so I can't use this update until I buy a very expensive computer. Darn.

'now i'm gonna option N...(mine don't do it)....and now we're gonna play everything from here now....man..why didn't you say to ''hit those little arrows''....had you said that it'd have saved a bucket load of time......cool enough.....but as a long time ableton user...and it's still home ....golly dang and the wu tang clang....logic hasn't borrowed it's 'just taken lock stock'...it's fun though .....kind've like acid back in the day ...but on acid...
