Hi MrTechcat. Thanks a lot for your enthusiastic review. Do you by any chance have the approach to tune the system on a new Fiido D11? It appears the display doesn't show the same as yours. And the simultaneous two button approach is not working. My best guess is they changed the firmware???

I have a newer D11 and absolutely hate the speed limit. Even if I let the bike glide down a hill.. the bike will throttle itself to not go above 25km/h. Surely someone has worked out a way to do it?

I bought a Fiido D11. When I start biking and reach a speed of about 15 km/hour, a digital sound like an alarm appears and repeates every few seconds. Very anoying. Can I do something about it?

Its a speed alarm.. some countries have a speed limit for ebike..

Might it be possible to increase torque at the wheel by increasing the setting for the wheel size to 24? For those not interested in top speed, would this improve ability to climb hills?

you will burn the tiny esc and motor if you push it uphills. You should get fiido d4s with bigger motor, if you have steep hills

Are the seat brackets quite standard? I couldn't live without larger, springed seats given that the bike has no suspension.

Yes, standard seat mount. You can add thicker tires too. I have put 20x1.95 maxxis hookworms, makes a big difference in ride comfort. My friend even put 2.15 tires.

I purchased the Fiido D4s and used your unlock method. Worked like a charm, thanks. However, I’m not satisfied with the pedal assist speed of this bike. At level (3) it doesn’t seem to auto assist at any higher than 21 km/h whether or not it’s in 4-6th gears. Do you have plans to show how to unlock a Fiido L2 ? I’ve tried your methods to unlock, and haven’t succeeded. ☹️ Thanks !

Yes, to unlock Fiido D4s simply hold brakes with accelerator when powering the bike on till error 0004 starts flashing. The same combination works to lock the bike back to 25km/h if needed later. :)

Fiido trixed. They simply specified the standard wheel size as 220, which falsifies the display. 190 = GPS! The Fiido D11 with pedal drive turns itself off from 20kmh. Only with the throttle can the engine go faster.

no, Fiido does not make any sounds. Only Xiaomi had audio warning and you disable that simply by disconnecting the speaker.

I separated it and the lights didn't even come in. Different countries seem to have different specifications. Thank you for your answer.

Fiido X will come in fifteenth of July according to Fiido., but has it the same engine as D11? I was hoping for an engine with more torque. Fiido x seems to have a new locking device for the battery, it is one of my must criteria for buying the bike, but preferably I want better torque as well, Unfortunately maybe the price will be too high on X, Fiido. has already raised the prices of all bikes.

yep, even the Fiido d11 does not deliver to it's price. Weak motor, quality issues with the controller and battery. Seems like old Fiido were way better and cheaper.

250 w motor is too small for people who weigh 100kg +, maybe works for someone who weighs around 60kg. Is fiido d4s still the most bang for the bucks? I think fiido has found the right design for d11 and X. Of course the price does matter, but preferably I would like an X if the specification was ok. .

You have to turn the bike off.. hold the throttles and brakes and only then power it on to get E004 code.

What I would love to see is custom firmware which would increase the motor power of these Fiido electric bikes. Electric Scooters like M365 Pro have 350W motor, but I am using 480W power in Eco mode, 880W in drive mode and 1080W in sport mode. Custom firmware which I uploaded to the M365 Pro motherboard. The same should be possible with these electric bikes, but somebody skilled enough should modify the firmware to make this 250W motor a 900W motor when needed in non-pedalling mode.

Fiido bikes are rated for 250W for legal reasons but D4s come with 13A 42V controller which is already +500W out of the box and this is why it can reach 35km/h. Where real 250W bikes/scoots struggle to keep constant 25km/h.

I was searching if anybody is manipulating firmware for these bikes but so far did not find anything on topic:)

Crappiest fiido bike like D3 is already way more powerful than the M365 even unlocked. And D4s there is no competition, I can overtake any M365 in the city not even trying. It gets a few times longer range and just overall ride is not even comparable.

@@MrTechcat I ordered d4s a few days ago for my father. M365 Pro is not a shit, but a wonderful micro mobility vehicle. My has like I wrote over 1kW power - since 2 years (90 kg) and I did not burn anything. My wife has also one, with the same upgraded firmware. I think you could be behind me If I would accelerate in D or S mode :-) You had bad firmware and not a pro version I guess. Let's not fight over electric scooter or bike. Both are great. My M365 Pro can ride up very steep hills. I am looking forward to d4s experience. Normally I like only 29 inch wheels in bicycles, but for portability I can accept that 20 inch small wheel :) I will test D4s and tell you how these compare in my eyes. Me and my wife have over 1200 km on M365 Pro.
