On the first jacket you tried on, you said it was a little too snug for you (size 40) and that the size 42 fit you perfect. But since you are a chest size 39.5, and you wear a size 40 perfecto 613 and you said that with the 613 jacket it was snug at first but later opened up and now fits you perfectly, why did you say the size 40 on the first jacket you tried on in this video was too snug and that you liked the size 42 better? Wouldn't the size 40 open up and fit you better as it broke in just like with the perfecto 613? And the 613 is a slim fit jacket already so i imagine the first jacket in this video couldn't have been any slimmer than the 613 but yet you said that you liked the size 42 better. I'm just wondering cuz u said that leather jackets open up once they break in so i was wondering why the snug fit on the first jacket u tried on turned u off.

Different cuts sometimes have slightly different fits , sometimes ill be a 40 like in the schott 613 sometimes a 42 like in the y2 western or some of the finecreek and sometimes even a 38 like with the type 3 from iron heart . The first one i put on was snug but over the years you start to. get a feel for whats going to open up nice and for what is just too small and that one just felt too small. The schott 613 comes in 2 different cuts , the 613 and the 613 s which is the slimmer cut , i do not have the 613s .. also different hides.. hope that helps.

@@THESHOPVANCOUVERtv Gotcha. I thought the 613 was already a slim cut jacket but it's more form fitting and short lengthwise but it's not a slim jacket. And the 613s is the slim version of the 613. So maybe the first jacket you tried on in this video was a slim cut jacket and that's why you knew to size up to a 42? Also, when you said "Over the years you start to get a feel for whats going to open up nice and for what is just too small", what areas specifically are you talking about- the shoulders and upper back? Are those specific areas on the body a good bet to say will up open up nicely as the jacket breaks in?

the 613 is certainly slimmer than the 618 .. but its not specifically a slim jacket Ie the reason for a 613S . i just said i would go to the 42 in that one based on how it felt , too snug everywhere , i find that jackets will open up though the shoulders and lats , arms will loosen up a bit... but this all really depends on how people wear them, i find the sizes i buy shape pretty good. I feel like most people can tell when something feels snug and will change vs too tight and too small.

@@THESHOPVANCOUVERtv Actually the 618 and the 613 are the same cut jacket, only differences are the stars on the epaulets and the no snaps on the upper collar on the 613. But both jackets are the same cut i believe. It's the 118 that has the looser more modern cut.
