I have captured some striped pike characins on hook and line and seen them in the wild in the Orinoco river, Venezuela. I have also tried them fried and are incredibly tasty.

Good tank for altums?

These fish are a little too aggressive, and I am not adjusting water chemistry down to the softness and acidity altums would like... so this is not a good community for them.

Oh, I would take that selection of fish at any time - but not yet, my big tank is still in planning phase ;-) What are the dimensions of this aquarium? I would like to see some corydoras ;-)
