One of my favorite times fishing was in that same exact spot when I was visiting San Diego. We caught spiny rays and a shark. It was the night they opened that outdoor amphitheater The Rady shell across the from you. While we were fishing they had a fireworks show. Great Video!

Love watching your videos. My wife's family is from SD. Whenever I'm down there I try to salt fish as much as possible. Other than stock trout fishing at your guys local lakes. What hits from the piers this time of the year? Ill be headed down there next weekend. Trying to get catch some..

Live bait puts in work for you. The livelier the better. It flutters around attracting predator fish and most all fish eat it. I made a video on it. Super stoked you pulled off that halibut.

Sorry, your buddy pulling off the halibut. A trick you can try is a can of tuna with a few small holes in it, tie it off and let it start chumming the water for you. Bait should start showing up sooner.
