I got 4 flattys in 4 casts there back in the day, all were between 60 or 80cm caught on a large prawnstar. The look on everyone’s faces when I let them go was priceless and everyone was digging through their tackle box’s looking for similar lures.

The tide pumps through those bridges. When its really moving not even a house brick will slow down keep your bait close to the bottom. On the tide changes before the flow starts is best. And on smaller tides. Looks like it's still full moon tides there. Not usually that high to the bridges. Go under the bridge and if you look on Google Earth you'll see the police heli pad etc on opposite side. Fish Infront of that and there's monster Jew. Snapper and threadfin if you do it right..your. Lines will already be zig zagging through the rocks by the time the fish hit. Anything decent will bust you off again and again..need to get lower on the embankment wall

Should get the kids a rod, they might like to fish too
@fishingwarriorz6 сағат бұрын
They have their rods! They don’t always like to fish which is fine, they join in when they keen for it 👌

Are fish ok to eat from the river? I’m never sure.
@fishingwarriorzКүн бұрын

Aren't those places bad for Miggies...??? What do you use to keep them away...???
@fishingwarriorzКүн бұрын
There was no midgies actually, we have used aeroGard which i think does nothing lol we have used Aldi brand spray and worked ok i thought, and we’ve used bushman too, i thought that was the best but is a little oily on the skin 😁
