Hi Will, love how you keep it so simple and accessible for all. Keep up the great work.

Hi Will, hope you have been well mate. Nice content. Good too see cabbage tree creek fishing well. Missed many uni lectures chasing those bream on lures and got my first fish on plastic next to that boat ramp. Cheers Dom

Gday Dom, it’s good to hear from you! I remember hearing about some of your cabbage tree creek sessions… it was pretty much your back yard, wasn’t it?

Hey Will, do you collect your own bait, if so a couple of episodes on this would be great. Not necessarily spots, but definitely techniques. It’s a declining skill amongst modern fishers.
@WL_OutdoorsАй бұрын
Gday Kevy, yep… most times I collect my own bait unless I’m really time poor! You’re not the first to suggest doing a few episodes on bait collection, I know some of the other local channels have done some good stuff on the subject. And you’re right, there seems to be less and less people going to the effort of collecting their own bait.

Hi Will,yes keep up the local content. Great to see Alvey sidecast reels in action. The red rod looks like a later version of a Snyder glas rod and 6inch Alvey whiting & bream beach fishing combo which I purchased from Daryl Mossop when he had the Ascot shop about 47years ago! Mine has a chrome reel mount none of this light weight fancy nancy gear back then lol The content is so good it doesn't need music'-) Any idea when Wayne Groomes will be back on deck? Cheers

Thanks Barry, glad you enjoyed it! The red rod is a Gary Howard Breambo 3W which I bought about 25 years ago from Archie’s at Strathpine. I’m not sure about Wayne but he has plenty of good local stuff over in his Chanel too!! And cheers for the heads up on the music, definitely still working on my editing skills 🤓

Hello Will, was that around the Shorncliffe Public Boat Ramp? I'd like to try at the same spot :)
@WL_OutdoorsАй бұрын
Gday, this bank is just next to the little ramp used to launch Kayaks. It’s at the mouth of the creek and you can’t really miss it

@@WL_Outdoors I started searching it from the mouth on google maps, and it looks like around the Yundah St Boat Ramp; I found similar objects from the video! Knowing the exact spot is very important for a novice like me, to purely blame on my skills when no luck :) Thank you. Sometimes it's strangely hard to find the exact spot, only with keywords, because of controversial results from google. It shouldn't be a big deal at all for experts but puts big question marks for people like me :) sharing a google maps coordination text (eg. 'M3CM+3V Shorncliffe, Queensland') never goes wrong, but I know it's up to you. Thanks.

Undersize fish must be released as soon as practical. "Undersize fish can not be used for bait." I saw Fisheries nabbed a bloke this last month for using an undersize mackerel for bait. Cheers

The fish Will said he was keeping for bait is a Winter Whiting, which have no legal minimum size in Queensland. They are regularly used as Snapper baits.
