don't forget they designed a new charger! Very smart from fitbit to have for each device an own proprietary charger coming along, would be a shame to use one charger for more as one device, well done fitbit!

Nice clear video. Thanks for saving me yet another mistake since the first 2 Inspires actually claimed to count floors climbed in the advertising, and it wasn't until after purchasing them that I found out it didn't do that.

I’m tempted! I had the first inspire and loved it then I got the luxe… The luxe is fine but I don’t like how it doesn’t have the home button and I always have to scroll to get to the home page

I was surprised to see an Inspire 3 instead of a Luxe 2, and I agree that there isn’t enough to distinguish them now. They didn’t discontinue the Luxe, but it’s possible there won’t be a second gen.

@@wearablewhisperer The main difference now is that the Luxe looks nicer. I prefer the metal look over the all black plastic. I think a Inspire 3 Special Edition would be a nice choice. Instead of black plastic, you can get silver, gold, rose gold, or black metal casing and maybe an extra band.

Does it tell you your calories and where can you find it?

It tells you your total calories burned for the day (including those your body burns at rest). You can find it by swiping up from the clock face or in the Fitbit app on your phone. If you want to see calories burned through exercise, you can find that in the exercise tile of the Fitbit app. Calories may not be accurate however and I often find Fitbit overestimates calories burned compared to other trackers.

This makes no sense - the new Inspire 3 is 100% the same as the Luxe other than the casing?! They even have the same exact feature set...??!

It is odd indeed. The biggest difference other than the casing is the battery life (Luxe is only 5 days compared to 10 days on the Inspire 3). Definitely a lackluster announcement!

There's also one feature that the inspire has that the luxe doesnt..I think the heart rate change alert or something. And the 3 allows for clip use but the luxe doesn't have that option.

@@StamfordBridge exactly! The Fitbit one originally counted floors climbed for the same price as they sell the Inspire; the inspire is bigger than the original one also, but they have never bothered to put an altimeter in the Inspire. The first two renditions of the Inspire falsely claimed to count floors, so at least they fixed their false advertising on the 3rd version. Now they add a bunch of other junk instead of the floors climbed. Some people say they don't want all the bells and whistles of having floors climbed, ummm... to that I say "but you want menstrual counting and co2 and all that junk?" blah haha -- They keep pushing to their bigger Charge series for the altimeter, but some of us need a smaller profile item so they never really listened to their consumers if you look at the years of complaints on the fitbit discussion boards.

@@StampMyArt Yes! I’ve been using my new Inspire 3 for a while now and enjoying it, but 99% of the time I just want to see the time or the day’s tally of steps, and so often it’s giving all sorts of other nonsense and I can’t get rid of it.
