I took a edu loan in 2017 and repayment started 18 months ago, my interest rate was 10.25 (MCLR+1.80%) and now the rate is 10.85 percent, wat is the reason for increase in rates? Plz give reply

Hello Sir, To be eligible for the CSIS subsidy scheme one's family annual income should be less than 4.5 lakhs, and to avail of the subsidy scheme one should apply through the Jansamarth portal and take an education loan from the portal. Please note that if you apply for an education loan through the Vidya Lakshmi portal you cannot apply again on the Janasamarth portal for the CSIS subsidy scheme.

Hello Karthik, Please note that you cannot apply for an education loan through the Vidya Lakshmi portal if you have already applied through the Jansamarth portal, and vice versa.

Hello Aishwarya, One can apply to three banks with the same application on the Vidyalakshmi portal. To reapply, the application must be rejected by all three banks. I have requested call back, and got call from wemakescholar. After asking all details and telling about banks, they say that wemakescholar are not authorised for taking loan from sbi. So they have tied up with other company which will help in sanctioning loan with a fees of 10k+GST. I want to ask can you help me in getting loan from SBI or Isn't WeMakeScholar authorised for taking loan from SBI.

@@Harshvardhan151 Is your requirement for a below 7.5 lacs loan OR is it for studies in India? In both these scenarios, we are not authorised with SBI directly, as that comes under priority sector lending and banks are really not willing to offer more such loans. Even at branches, they will try to avoid you. Hence, we have partnered with VidyaLoans for the same.
