NEW FLAME PAINT | Xcelerator Repaint Update | Knott's Berry Farm

I welcome the paint change on Xcelerator....just like Tatsu at Magic Mountain. Only thing I'd like to see for the flame colors to really POP is if the supports are painted a sharp dark/navy blue color. I feel that the teal color will drown out the colors on the track, and will still blend in with the teal tracks on Hangtime nearby.

It’s cool but the support beams need to be darker, the teal is too bright that it takes away from the track

As a person who has been to Knott’s Berry Farm and has been on this coaster, I find this repaint to be on FIRE. This looks freakin’ awesome.

Definitely preferred the darker teal supports. Not a fan of the gray but the orange/yellow/red looks good!

Compared to most enthusiasts, I’m usually pretty indifferent to color schemes, but I *love* this one!

i thought the same thing that the color transition wont really be noticeable going top speed, but 🤔 neat idea. i like the yellow-red ombre a lot better than the asphault color track. i welcome the change for all the socal coasters though! more colors always good

So that is why there were so many different colours in the repaint. The track may look good but it looks strange against the support structure. They should repaint that too and it’d be perfect.

I think the gray looks weird because they didn't paint a transition into the yellow. There's a stark line where the track suddenly changes color so the concept of the ride heating up and cooling down isn't present. They do it for the yellow and the orange, and orange into red and back, which looks great. The yellow sections are far too short as is. Extending the full yellow paint with a better gradient change with the gray sections would look way better.

Dude I went on this ride one time when it was being repainted the day later my friend texted me he was going to knott’s berry farm and I told him you go on on xcelerator? And he said it was closed and it was due to the repaint when I went on the ride it was only red and black unbelievable

I don’t like it. It looks weird with the support color. Maybe if the supports were dark blue, purple or even that gray it might look better.

It’s actually more of an on ride visual effect, not so much for the midway.

I wish they’d redo the supports. The teal looks so bad with the flames. I wish they had just kept the original colors.

Agreed! Though the original color of the track was indeed red, the faded look of it which made it appear pink is a much preferred color in my opinion as it matches well with the teal supports

Should have stuck with all red track. When it fades it’s going to look terrible. Otherwise the grey sections should have been yellow.

It looks like ass IMO ... if needs an explanation that means nobody is going to get it. It would have made a lot more sense if the transitions were gradients or something, but just to have each track section be a totally different color in order to represent a flame and asphault looks ridiculous.

This would be erroneously expensive on site since they can’t just paint individual pieces in a paint room. It will probably look much better as the paint where the wheels are gets worn away
