The rapid fire and accuracy really are nuts. I could see someone getting good at this and just popping off 2-4 shots and moving on to a new target several times in one top-down pass - don't gotta watch your shots land with this kinda gun unless they're actively manuevering.

German gun CAS has been nerfed hard in recent years while Russian continues to get buffed. Gaijin are asshats

Skill issue about that, a 3 round burst are tight enough once you get the modification. Anyway testing shows that for some odd reason, the german 50mm despite having only about 0.3 g less explosive mass than the 45mm, produces far less fragments and shrapnel. Seems like they created a new shell for this plane , that despite being on paper, extemely similar and having the same explosive mass to the tank one, produces a deadlier post pen effect. if you compare a top of the turret pen between the two, you can clearly see that the stat cards of the new aphe lies, feels like it have 5 g or more extra explosive filler. note that i tested all this on live server, using a Conqueror as reference.

Was playing snow Ardennes against russia. 5 planes their side just picking us off as we spawned in. Went AA twice and got sniped each time by a plane I wasn't watching. They had over 5 kills each between them. This is going to be the death of GRB when playing against Russia at low BRs. They already have very strong tanks, with large line ups: T34 series, KV series & SU series. I'd be interested to see how Much this pushes their WR up by.

Again as I’ve been trying to ask questions about why don’t we have a game mode that’s for just ground vehicles only it would work the same as realistic battles. The only thing different about this mode would be there be no aircraft whatsoever except for nuke aircraft

2:10 "...crashing today.." Let me tell you about two days ago....i had just landed to rearm the A-1H after bagging four morsels, that in turn, got into planes, when i saw the first "victim" on the kill feed, a red plane "crashed"...after that one, 4 more planes went down ...in total, 3 reds and 2 blues fell from the sky, i was unusually lucky...not so much yesterday, my Ki-84 flipped 180 sideways and went straight down...i politely raised my middle finger to gaijin, exited the game and went looking for grass, to do some touching!

I’ve been having a real bad crashing problem on my PS4 these days. The weapon selection hotbar had the same hot keys as my elevator controls and apparently that just made warthunder *shart and die* Consistently I’d crash during dogfights and I was left wondering why. Until I just happened to notice the correlation. I love to fly Anti-CAS because I’ve just been bullied one too many times, but I’d just keep crashing while fighting other planes haha 😂 And after doing that bug, or whatever it was, rejoining was impossible. It would automatically freeze. Softlocked and you’d have to restart warthunder

Anti cas mentioned yay. Ive had so much fun with the yak3u and xp50 for anti cas just because the comedic flight peformance they have. Its so funny how dogfight happy il2s early 109s and stukas are. The 9ut isnt super good as a fighter but its plenty capable against most just not all. For anticas i prefer the 3u but has no cas elements but the ki84 with 2x 250kg bombs is great

With all the history of russians catering towards putting cannons on aircraft for roles like this, i was really surprised there was no real 5.7 fighter with a powerful nose cannon. Now there is, and i an happy :). No more ILs, SUs, or poop yaks.

soviets only experimented with them, and quickly realized that "maybe a fighter as light as the yak is not a stable firing platform" and gave it to the IL-2s, although few yaks entered service with the canons

Not directly, US and british cannon cas got buffed two years ago while german cannon cas was nerfed into the ground by reducing all german air/AA cannon pen by about 30% while simultaneously buffing all other nations cannon pen or not touching it. Not to mention that Germany has to pay 192 SP for having Hvap rounds with only 33-50% Hvap in the belt. Not to mention the accuracy nerf the Mk103s recieved a few years back, which as far as I know never has been reverted.

I think I'd go for the 2a6 because it's cheaper to research, it's got a better gun, and I don't believe the PSO has much to offer over the 2a5 besides more HEAT protection, but I don't remember.

Its a modification you have to research, basically you first have your preset then 2x 20mm and a 37mm with one 20mm and the 45mm.

and that's why I stopped playing Ground RB, until Gaijin comes back to their senses. This cannon can even take out Tiger IIs, or any heavy tank, because roof armor is the weakspot on pretty much any tank. You can take this plane to 7.7 and tap T28/T95 from above and kill it... M103? Yeah, no problem. This is just stupid what they have done. CAS was cancer before this update, now it's even more cancer. GG Gaijin.
