Its cause some bright mind over at gaijin decided that the tree models themselves are client side, whereas the hitboxes are server side. Meaning that sometimes you can fly straight through the trees and sometimes you die seemingly out of nowhere cause there was an invisible tree.

@@just_david From what I've understood, yes. A lot of ground maps also have wacky hitboxes, like buildings having way bigger hitboxes than the building itself making them eat shells. There's also how some old shitty rusty metal pipe can block a APDSFS shell but it will fly through giant concrete slabs. The entire hitbox system is completely absurd.

Essentially, JF17 was co-developed by Pakistan and China. Pakistan has been flying the F16 since 1983 and modelled it using the same F16 block design for their own defense. So Pakistan had the F16 experience and China had the production facilities which Pakistanis leveraged.

It’s basically a heavily modified, and overhauled from an engineering standpoint; J-7E/G. It’s basis from the fuselage design is still a J-7 fuselage but from there the design branches into its own structure and it’s a beautiful design.

Trees don't count as terrain, so multipath doesn't work just because you're flying over trees. What adds to the problem is that trees in this game are gigantic (we're talking 20-30 storeys tall) so sometimes you actually CAN'T FLY LOW ENOUGH because if you did you'd fucken smash straight into the treetops.

I’m aware of trees not counting as terrain, but it’s the fact that some of them are legit 50m tall, so you could be below treetop level, and still take an amraam to the forehead. To be honest I wouldn’t mind 50m multipathing if they would make the terrain better and more consistent, but the terrain is like 2003 graphics lol

There is definitely a skill involved, it’s just that player skill is less impactful in top tier than in lower BR’s. It’s different for sure though. More of a focus on positioning and playing around your team, and you can just get boned sometimes, much more than you would in a meta prop/jet at a lower BR
