Hard copy is the most efficient way to go. You don't have to clean your hands every time you grab it. Also don't have to have a power source to keep the battery up.

The DCR being utilized can supply 25% more fuel than the cp4.2. It’s almost like it’s a stroker from the jump.

The answer is the cp4 simply doesnt fail outside of the parameters of standardized diesel lubricity and moisture set by the government. I would say at my shop we've had a non contaminated fuel cp4 failure only three times. Bosch when it was developed was operating under the guidelines set by European fuel standards, which includes more lubricity and stricter quality standards including lower moisture tolerances. In Germany where the pump was developed unlike the US, if the government tests fuel at the pump and finds moisture is above requirements, the station and the provider get fines. Fuel is conditioned in many larger stations and depots there where its not here. Yes it leads to higher fuel costs by a few pennies, but it means that when the cp4 was deployed in europe they had so few issues with it they didnt think twice about introducing it in the US and Canada. Whats really funny is canadian standards are still higher than ours. What failed is our real at pump quality standards were not as advertised in the overwhelming majority of cases leading to oxidation inside the pump body and pitting that ultimately leads to catstrophic failure. Thats my take, he is right about price point...but its more of a demonstration of quality requirements of the fuel not being met. Hell according to the weights and measures department in WI even though they only test fuel that has a complaint attached, in almost every case the fuel they test fails both advertised gel point requirement for winterized fuel AND moisture content.

No. The FCA on the CP4 is not the same. Plus, the DCR has two different cases, no need for the DPK with it installed.

Whats crazy to me when it comes to Ford is that they have known since atleast the late 80s that a straight six engine is almost unkillable just look at all the old square body ford's that have that old straight 6 gasser you can stop the thing 😂 it's not the most insane power engine but that platform should have shown ford they had a good platform to use for other ideas.. these v8 engines thst Ford has tried building have just been nightmares non stop (not hating on Ford by any means, just saying the old straight six was a good engine that wouldn't stop and if Ford would have used that platform to build bigger engines they would have decent engines and yes I'm a cummins fan but you have to admit the straight six in any platform is a hard to kill design❤❤❤

All 6.7 powerstroke. The 2020 up have a different version with some change(s) to support increased max rail pressure but no changes to the fuel flow inside pump he was describing. I believe the 2020 changes are thought to include harder pump piston rub surfaces but I have not seen any teardown and analysis to confirm this but it might exist somewhere.
