After driving the new Ford Figo 2016 for about 3 months and over 5,000 Kms, we can safely say that this is one of the finest diesel hatchbacks available in the country today. The variant we have tested is the top-of-the-line diesel Titanum+ that features a 1.5-litre diesel mill. This engine develops 99bhp and 215Nm.

Great review by ICN Studio. The 2017-18, New Gen Figo Petrol, is the best petrol car in the 1.2 ltr segment, it offers adequate power- 88ps, capable of being driven like a sports car, (the second gear of the test drive car went up to 85 kmph and had more steam left) and can also be driven conservatively like a family car. Even with full load of 5 passengers and luggage, while climbing an incline/ flyover bridge, if your speed is 40kms, it prompts you to slot in the 4th gear, and it climbs so effortlessly, if the speed touches 50, it prompts you to slot in the 5th gear, no strain whatsoever, irrespective of the carrying load, incline or plains. It has the Legendary American Car Drive Dynamics of the Ford, plenty of space, comfort and solidity. Engine is a super silent, yet powerful IV Cylinder gem. Has a gentle sporty growl when driven fast. Mine is just a month and half old car, within the run-in/ break in period, still it gives up to 24kmpl of milage, easily on highway with ac. In city, depending on the traffic, if your speed is constantly restricted (due to rush hour traffic) at 40-50 kmph, you will easily get around 15-16kmpl, at 50-60 kmph speeds, you will get, 17-18 kmpl easily. At 60-70 kmph speeds, you will get 19-20 kmpl easily, at 70-80 kmph speeds, highway like space, you will achieve 23-24 or even more quite easily. No other Petrol Car can match this performance, within this package.

go with figo diesel. grand i10 stands nowhere in comparison. Grand has safety features in top model and it has 1.2 3 cylinder diesel engine(figo has 1.5). The only section where grand scores is interior and service network and that's not even bad with Ford. test drive both and u will see the difference.

Ford India has for sure improved its after-sales services, and are among the better brands today. As a matter of fact, the new-gen Figo's maintenance cost is as low as that of the swift. As far as the engine life concerned, it all depends upon how well a car is being maintained over the years. Any engine can get noisy if it's not being take care of well. We think that the new Figo is probably one of the finest hatches that we have in the country as of now. Go for it.

it was excellent car value for money i drive this car overall 14000kms, high performance even in hill stations, remember never expect constant mileage in ford cars it's depends on roads & driving person, overall features i loved my new ford figo trend. for better experience high speed i reached maximum speed 190kmphr, excellent condition with stable steering. even with out abs my car has powerful breaks.

When ur buying ford cars don't expect milage, these r high end performance n good in off road n hill stations stability, when comparative with ford b4 2015 models the maintainable cost is worth full and comparative is low, Spares r got cheaper now but have buy on order request only , so the waiting time for spares too long. Either over all service is 10/10. I suggest new figo trend ABS in budget hatch back cars. If u want to high end then go with new figo aspire titanium plus.

It gave us around 17-18kmpl in city and close to 22kmpl on highways with AC on all the time. The reason Figo's diesel sells more than the petrol is solely because of the way the diesel model drives. It's a pocket rocket.

The maintenance cost of a car depends upon several factors including the road condition, driving habits and wear & tear. But as far as the regular maintenance cost is concerned, it's as low as the Swift diesel's. As a matter of fact, the company claims it to be around 10 percent less than all of its rivals. The last time we took it for the regular 10,000km periodical maintenance service, it costed us about Rs 3345 that also included wheel alignment with weight sticker and balancing. The cost without wheel alignment + weight sticker and balancing came down to about Rs 1710. We can understand that, a lot of people get confused in such situations. Though it's tough comparing a petrol hatch with a diesel one, we'll still try and answer your question. The Ignis Zeta AMT is unquestionably a nice car with more features on offer, an impressive petrol mill and Maruti Suzuki's brand name, the Ford Figo diesel is lot more fun to drive, spacious and frugal. In case you are looking for performance and fuel efficiency, it's the Figo that you should pick. And if you are looking for a feature-loaded car with decent performance, the Ignis makes more sense.

The 1.2-litre petrol engine-powered Figo isn't as punchy and fun as the diesel version, but it's a good urban vehicle. Driving it on regular highways isn't a problem, though it lacks the eagerness. In case you are looking for the petrol version, you can also take a test drive of the 1.5-litre petrol-engined version. The only issue, however, is its availability in the automatic transmission only.

The Figo comes in two petrol engine options - a 1.2-litre with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 1.5-litre with an automatic gearbox. Of these two options, our pick is the Figo 1.5-litre petrol, but that's an expensive option at Rs 7.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 1.2-litre petrol version of the Figo, on the other hand, is an average performer. The petrol version of the Ignis feels peppier, and has an advantage over the Figo in overall performance. The Figo, however, feels sturdier and more sold in the build quality. When it comes to pricing, the Ignis petrol costs between Rs 4.59 lakh - Rs 6,69 lakh (ex Delhi), the Figo costs between Rs 4.66 - Rs 7.44 lakh. Hope it helps you. :)

You can go for either of the two engines you mentioned, as both are quite powerful and have almost no turbo lag at all. But several buyers have complained about the low mileage the Ecoboost-powered version returns. So, we'll suggest you to go for the diesel version if the fuel efficiency is your top priority.

Figo 1.2L petrol isn't as exciting to drive as the Figo's diesel engine or the Figo AT's 1.5-litre petrol engine. In this budget, you have the Hyundai Grand i10. Though the Grand isn't great at ride & handling, its engine is extremely refined and peppy. The Grand i10's interior too feels much more premium than the Figo.

Ritesh Sharma dont buy petrol. Petrol is sluggish. Test drive diesel. It will put a smile on ur face. super fast car it is. As far as resale is concerned it is only affected in states where diesels are allowed for 10 years. and even in those states there won't be a major difference in resale. it can be sold in other states.

As Ratul rightly pointed out, the Figo's petrol is a bit sluggish and lacks the punch that the diesel offers. The Figo diesel is a pocket rocket and is probably the finest diesel hatch at this price point. Go for that. Congrats in advance, drive safe. :)

In terms of performance, it beats almost all of its rivals except the Polo. The i20 won't match the power of the Figo diesel, but the i20 has better interior and feels much more premium. In terms of build quality and safety, both are alike.

If the performance is your priority, then it's Figo 1.5 beats most of its rivals including the Baleno. It feels much quicker, and lot more fun to-drive. The Baleno, on the other hand, feels much plusher from inside and is more comfortable. As far as the features are concerned, the Baleno has an upper hand; but, it costs higher.

Its a descent car for me( Normal sedative driver) but if u are an aggressive driver u may feel underpowered(personal opinion). (never think twice choose any of the MS tin cars for extra 2-4 kmpl figures ) Some one who have enough bucks go for Vw polo. Only a personal opinion!! Only petrol engines considered.

The 2017-18, New Gen Figo Petrol, is the best petrol car in the 1.2 ltr segment, it offers adequate power- 88ps, capable of being driven like a sports car, (the second gear goes up to 85 kmph and has more steam left) and also conservatively like a family car. Even with full load of 5 passengers and luggage, while climbing an incline/ flyover bridge, if your speed is 40kms, it prompts you to slot in the 4th gear, and it climbs so effortlessly, if the speed touches 50, it prompts you to slot in the 5th gear, no strain whatsoever, irrespective of the carrying load, incline or plains. It has the Legendary American Car Drive Dynamics of the Ford, plenty of space, comfort and solidity. Engine is a super silent, yet powerful IV Cylinder gem. Has a gentle sporty growl when driven fast. Mine is just a month and half old car, within the run-in/ break in period, still it gives up to 24kmpl of milage, easily on highway with ac. In city, depending on the traffic, if your speed is constantly restricted (due to rush hour traffic) at 40-50 kmph, you will easily get around 15-16kmpl, at 50-60 kmph speeds, you will get, 17-18 kmpl easily. At 60-70 kmph speeds, you will get 19-20 kmpl easily, at 70-80 kmph speeds, highway like space, you will achieve 23-24 or even more quite easily. No other Petrol Car can match this performance, within this package.
