"Promise" by Eve 6. "Somewhere on Fullerton" by Allister. "California Girl" by Lucky 7. Just a few to start out with. :D

Everybody missing those days, here's a real way to go back to the past: remember a place that you used to go to when this song came out. I was 7 back then and for me it was my first elementary school that I had to change after 4th grade. And today I went there, actually I haven't been there for ages. And as I looked at the school building, I just started playing this song imagining it's 2000-2001 and this song came out not long ago. I did feel I went 18 years back in time. It really works!

The band New Found Glory is known for their energetic and playful style, and one of their most beloved tunes is "Hit or Miss." The song serves as a reminder that life is full of both ups and downs, but that the important thing is to always keep moving forward. For a pizza-eating, Pepsi-drinking, Playstation- and Xbox-playing, BMX-riding individual, "Hit or Miss" is the perfect soundtrack to their day. The song serves as a reminder that, while there may be moments of struggle and doubt, it's important to embrace the good times and cherish the experiences that make life worth living. As the individual sits down with a slice of pizza in one hand and a can of Pepsi in the other, they turn on their console and start to play. They're in the middle of a particularly tough level, and the frustration is beginning to set in. But, as the chorus of "Hit or Miss" comes on, they remember that it's okay to miss sometimes, and that it's important to enjoy the moments of fun and relaxation. They take a deep breath, refocus, and conquer the level with a sense of accomplishment and joy. After finishing the level, they hop on their BMX bike and take a ride around the neighborhood, the wind in their hair and the music in their ears. They feel alive and free, and they know that, at this moment, they are truly living their best life. As the day comes to a close, the individual sits back and reflects on all the experiences they've had - the good times, the bad times, and everything in between. And, with the words of "Hit or Miss" still ringing in their ears, they know that they are in for a wild and wonderful ride, full of both hits and misses. And, as long as they keep moving forward, they know that they can take on anything that life throws at them.

I’ve listened to some hardcore metal since this song was popular. Coming back as an adult, I can say this breakdown is so fucking hard. Nothing hits like it

This song will always be special to me now. During the Sick tour in Tempe, they played this one. During the song, Chad came down to my side of the stage and handed me his guitar pick. Good guy.

good thing about being African is that you always late to catch up then just when everything popular sucks....I get this....plus all other rock that popular nations feel are old stuff....I love being alive now n listening to this.....

what does "being african" have anything relevant about what you say?

Maybe that some of these older American bands take way longer to catch on over there? Or never got that big in the first place so tracking their music down now is more of a revelation.

This song brings back great memories of my late teens and early twenties. Got to see them many years ago in Melbourne Australia, what a great show that was. Still love this song in 2019, they don't make them like this these days

why couldnt i have been 19 in 2000 and not in 2015, music was amazing back then pop punk was at its highest and there was no justin bieber!

+Kye'smusic 182 Same here. I was only 10 in 2000. Unfortunately those days are long gone. Fortunately there is KZbin to forever remind us of great music. 1999 was a momentous year in pop punk history. Enema of the State was released on June 1st and Through Being Cool (Saves the Day) was released on November 2nd. Pop punk bands of the early 2000s (such as New Found Glory) would not have been successful had it not been for Blink 182. Back then, kids in high school still listened to rock music. Pop culture in general was so much better too.

+Kynan's Music Dude the pop punk shit was just as bad as the Bieber shit. Well, maybe no quite as bad, but music was starting to really suck in the early 2000s; I see 1996 as the main culprit for the year music started to royally suck. Pop Punk is to old music as Bieber is to new music; they both take out the most talented parts of music and just spam catchy bullshit.

+Kynan's Music Dude, there's a reason it's called POP punk. Listen too Punk Rock 101 by Bowling for Soup and you'll realize it was just as much as a pop phase as the Beibs. Its "spam catchy bullshit" lol. But to be honest this genre of music got ALOT of kids into playing guitar and making bands, which is exponentially better than getting kids into "bling" and sex.....

Funny you say that. I loved these guys, but they were a guilty pleasure. They weren't "punk" enough. Now I don't care. Anyway, there is still good music now, but it's not usually mainstream. Listen to your college station... do some exploring online. Days N Daze is my favorite new band.
