I feel this. Im 32, with a career, and I still miss the mid 90s through early 2000s. There is nothing else like it. Staying the night at friends over endless summers, pizza, mtn dew or surge, 8 hr Goldeneye tournaments, hearing my best friends crazy dad yelling at the shitheads across the street, and all the time in the world. I am glad that I knew it wouldn't last. Good things rarely do. I really savored those times.

100% agree. I would listen to that big time. I love this video, NFG and consider myself in the top 5% of NFG fans...however, my only critique would be to lessen the vocal smoothing on his voice--needs to be a little more raw and imperfect so it sounds more natural.

@@dr.fishing5740 Well he's not a great singer is he. You don't see an issue with it? How about work on your voice, to keep it strong and not expect technology to fix it for you. This is everything wrong with music today.

@TJ-vt6rt4 жыл бұрын
@@dr.fishing5740 I am not telling you to fix your voice. How about actually read what I wrote. Jordan (that would be the singer of this band) is using autotune to correct his vocals because he can't be bothered to put the work in on keeping his voice strong and on point to be able to sing the various notes this song requires. The everybody uses autotune these days is not an argument for anything. It's for people who literally can't sing to lazy half assed singers, he shouldn't be professional because he clearly doesn't care about the fact that he is a singer. It's an insult to those that actually put the work in to keep their voices in shape.

Been listening to NFG since 2002, and start to listen to their previous album (Nothing Gold Can Stay and so on) ever since. It is quite funny because people said if you wanted to remember something, listen to a new album and keep repeating it so that when you listen to that album again in the future, you will always remember the moment when you listen to it. So every NFG's album holds a special memory to me. For me, this Sticks and Stone brings back the time during my junior high school when I was having a lot of fun playing with my best friends ;) Living in Asia, I was quite fortunate to be able to attend one of NFG's concert in Sydney, Australia back in 2017. In fact, it was my first time attending a pop/rock concert. I queued at the front and was able to stand in the middle front line. However, due to my smaller body compared to the Australians, I ended up in the front corner near the huge speaker and I had a temporary hearing loss after the concert. But it was worth it because the concert was amazing. I also attended the meet and greet, and finally, I was able to meet them in person (I also got their sign and took a picture with them). Thanks NFG!
