There was a 1/10 or 1/25 ratio to get the chance for a special background. So if you did 50 raids, you potentially would have received around 5 with the special background. So they will award you 5 encounters.

Not gonna lie, this is unusually generous for Niantic. They'd usually let the glitches over raids just slip by, but not only are we getting full compensations for the UBs and mega ray now, we're technically getting extra for both; mega ray is now remotable and appearing in literally every gym for this event and with the UBs it wouldn't have been a guaranteed background if things worked properly during GoFest day 1, but they're giving us an extra background UB for literally every remote raid we've done now, not to mention even more shiny checks and candies. Hopefully this is an indicator of how they'll treat making up for errors in the future.

I don't think it means you'll get 50 encounters if you did 50 raids, I'm pretty sure it will be scaled so if you did say under 10 remote raids you won't get the research, 10-20 you'll get 1 full set, 20-30 you'll get 2 full sets etc. or potentially there will just be a threshold to get the research e.g. more than 15 remote raids and you get it, under 15 and you don't or something like that.

Pretty sure you only get as many as you would have gotten on average - assuming around a 5% chance that would mean 1 encounter for 20 remote raids you did

I did A Number of remote raids on Day One of Global GO Fest, and I just figured there weren't any special backgrounds for whatever reason, because I got NONE, and I did something like 20 ~ 30 remote raids that day. I do NOT see me getting 100% make-up on these raids. Special backgrounds were supposed to appear on a certain PERCENTAGE of Pokemon caught from raids (10%? 15%? I don't recall), not all of them, so I will likely get the chance to catch 2 ~ 5 Pokemon from this make-up research.

I don’t know if I will get the special research, seeing as I only recall doing A Pheromosa Raid, but; idk if all of those Dusk Mane Raids I did the night of Day 1 will count towards the special Research… So my hands are up in the air with this: on the one hand; I’m glad that Niantic is doing this for everyone, but at the same time, I don’t know how much they’ll actually count…🤷

I did quite a few. But I can't remember how many. So how will I know Niantic has an accurate number I did? Meaning how can I cross reference their "investigation" number on my account? Obviously I've transferred a bunch of them already, so not sure how to check. I'm just not sure how they can know every players raid number during that time. It has to be in the millions. Do a search of your Pokémon inventory. Enter search term "Raid" and organize them recently. Click around and find the correct date and count the number of remote raids. I just did...I had 45 remote raid pokemon.

I dont really do a lot of raids per pokemon I just like the collecting thrill and to add to the Dex if its shiny it's shiny if not i at least have it My only 4 star is one and thats Articuno This month is good with Moltres Xerneas and one of the Incarnates plus Rayquaza After this i woul only want Regileiki , Regidrago, Deoxys, Mewtwo, Lugia And whenever released the scorbunny and other starters And Manaphee and Arceus So i play it for the fun i probably might one of the few with less than 100 shinies lol
