Thanks Lee, you are correct! The wind turbines now include just one collar and a hose clamp. We found that the top clamp would pinch the pole if overtightened. But I think one of these would look so cool with a custom paint job, have to wait till money allow's though. Just one more reason to buy from MW&S,,, MW&S sends ALL the parts needed, Like,, Locking Collars to properly mount the wind turbine to my turbine mounting pole,, and a Rectifier to hook the turbine to my battery bank and charge control setup. Another company I bought a turbine from recently did not send locking collars or a rectifier with their turbine,, Imagine finding out that you could not install your new turbine properly because they do not include everything you need,,, What a waist of time waiting another week or so for shipping...

Finally got our New 48V Freedom II up and operating on our homestead and I just can't wait for fall when the power will really begin. Summer is great because we have so much sun our 6K Solar system works as though we lived on the grid like most. Winter is going to show us if we need a second turbine, thinking about the Rebel, but our decision is going to be based on creating power at lower wind speeds since our Freedom II needs 8-12mph to get things cranking. I was wondering if we ought to go with more blades? You guys have been Awesome to work with (Cameron) and I recommend your company whenever I speak with a customer looking for Wind and or Solar. 5 Star Rating from Off Grid Stoves and More :)

Hey Brother Jeff how does the wires keep from twisting up in the pole as the wind turns the turbine around on the pole? Sorry Brother I have seen different ways that people do it but I am new to this and didn't see the way this one works. I think you'de sell alot more if you didn't make the customer clean prime and paint them. That should clearly be part of the manufacturing process. Otherwise it looks like a nice unit.

Jeff, is there any reason rather than using paint that you could not take the parts in and have them powder coated? Powder coating would certainly give a longer lasting and more durable finish. There would be an additional cost obviously but for coastal apps. it may be well be worth the extra investment. Thanks

Yes we were going to do that in the future. We also leaned towards having them hot dipped galvanized.

Hi Jeff ,I install 5 blades wind turbine . It works no problems, but the thing is every week the five blades hub get loose and fall on the ground . So I tid it properly two times from the axle but still I did not succeed to stop this issue . Please can you help . Thank you .

Not to hard to do. Good demo. Have you used MEK or Varsol we used to use it on airplanes so I am sure it would work on Solar or wind turbines.

Do you recommend any type of oil/grease for the contact points between bracket and pipe? That is where a ground connection is made, correct?

Wheel bearing grease lasts the longest, seems to work the best.

Really like your videos. In about 18 mo. I am going to retire and I want to go completely wind & solar. Have you done, or could you recomend, a video that shows approximately how many, how big, what size, the number needed panels & size of PMG...etc. someone would need for a 1,000 or 1,200 sq.ft. home located in the midwest?

Just curious, why isn't there some sort of "nose cone" for the hub?

The nose cone would block the airflow going thru the PMG . Nose cones are just for looks, they really don't improve the performance.
