How to Install Wind Turbine Slip Ring | Missouri Wind and Solar

Hi Jeff. Are familiar with soldering tubes. Most auto electricians or car production lines use them. All you need is a small (kitchen type) blow torch. The solder, the flux, and the heat shrink tubing all in one. They are fantastic for slip rings and no tools required.

MissouriWindandSolar Your welcome. We use them in the Technology Shed. Great for stators, connecting Pmg's any thing that's needed to be solderd really. Especially good if your up tower or out in the field.

The way you did it is much better for the heavier longer lengths of cord, the way I did it works for 10 foot lengths of cord weight max on a 10 foot tower :)

I just received my single pmg wind turbine. It didn't come with a slip-ring...then how does it spin around without the wire spinning? Do I have to have a slip-ring?
