Wurt has always been my favorite character, and I love her now more than ever.

Honestly, with a maxed out Amphibian tree, having a boat with a gangplank on hand becomes a very useful strategy. Since Wurt gets no drawbacks from hopping in the ocean *besides* 50% Wetness (which is now a boon for her), going for a swim can be a real life saver during the harsh temperatures of summer and winter, or if you're low on sanity/health, or just need a few axtra hitpoints and don't have a waterballoon on hand. For my personal Wurt build, I'd probably pick: Mental Fluidity 1+2, All-Weather Scales Mosquito Incognito+Itchcraft 1+2 All three Merm King quests Hard Headed 1 for extra armor Sensible Swamp Fighter for follower survivability And both Lunar Affinity skills, since I find the buffed lunar merms cooler than shadow zombies and tentacles. And Honestly, my last two points I could either spec into Hydrous Healing 2, or Slippery Hide 2, or just level 1 of each. Extra health or passive healing both matter about the same, if I'm good at dodging, but still nice to have just in case. As a final sidenote, apropos of nothing, I predict that Wurt's Moonbound skin is gonna be a Lunar Mutant merm, like the ones created by her Lunar Affinity skills. It would seem fitting, now that they have such a form.

@@beasthaven1571 It really just depends on how much you enjoy specific playstyles. Wurt is a follower-focused character, with a main drawback of being vegetarian. If you enjoy follower builds specifically, or if you enjoy the challenge of abstaining from meat, go for it, or look up some different Wurt playthroughs or character guides to see if they fit your tastes first. Personally, I enjoy all the characters for different reasons, so I've bought them all, but you can definitely get full enjoyment out of the game with only the available-from-start characters. And if you save up a bunch of spools from the Belongings market, you can always weave her and the others for 1350 spools a pop, no real-world cash required.

​@beasthaven1571 Depends. Wurt relies on followers for combat, and Webber has an extremely similar combat system- try Webber first. The community building looks extremely good but with any luck Webber will get something similar.

I think Klei really tripped up by not planning for the Werepig Boss to be Wilba's Dad as that could've lead to Wilba herself being introduced which in turn would've progressed into a Pigmen refresh of sorts.

Can i just say, i am really liking winonas skilltree. You can survive winter with 4 nightmare fuel which really lets you take your time when basing and with 1 enlightened shard you can teleport whenever you want and have infinite light

me and my friend both play on ps5.., if I am the host, his game will load infinitly when trying to enter the caves, and then a mesage appear saying that the servers arent responding.., the same thing happend to me in vice-versa, when he is the host. You can still use them but no one but Winona can have upgraded projectiles or the fire rate bonuses. They will be just straight up normal catapults with anyone else.

What do you think about how Wurt has lesser versions of the structures? I feel like those skills are too much. It's bloat. Just give us the regular one or the option to upgrade it without using another skill slot!

Wetness skills are alright but slipper hide I think is the best thing about it. Moon merms are most likely going to be more widely used than shadow merms, tho the latter will still have its uses. It'd be cool if they could attack nightmare creatures. Mosquitos are lame, king's quest are alright, but out of all of them the superior kelp dish is my favourite. It is very convienent and looks great.

The King's Quests turn your armies into nearly unstoppable killing machines if you have the Shadow Merms though. Dodging, triple attacks, damage increases, and then they simply revive instantly once they are killed?!?!? Insane, especially if you give the Guards helmets first too!

Ok I REALLY need to know: Do you unlock the moon and shadow affinities having killed the bosses with ANY character, or does it HAVE to be Wurt? I can't find the answer to that anywhere.

Any character, and the reason why you can't find an answer is because we all did it once with Wilson's Skill Tree before we truly knew what anything was and then Klei just never did anything new with it so...

love the skill tree concept, makes total sense to me that characters develop new skills as they live longer in the constant. Don't like the execution on some of them, including this one. Seems like I'll be switching from a Wurt main to a Webber main and hope they give him a better skill tree.

We make 4 turf per nowadays and they changed how cobble is made in general. This is no longer an issue. Also, who's fighting bosses in the swamp?! That's doubly dangerous!

Once merms are mutated, they can't not be dissembled till you leave the server. It's a huge problem. I wish klei can add a staff to kill all the merms instantly. After all, it's easier waiting merm rebirth than finding them in the wild.
