You are inspiring in many ways. My wife and I raise our kids on a budget with simple housing, basic furniture, and home cooked meals from scratch. I kind of feel like we're the only ones doing that sometimes. We just do what we can afford and are happy with it. Your attitude of trying to remain positive with the simple things in life is so refreshing.

Some tips, if that's ok. Be sure to tether the tall cupboards to the wall so they don't fall forward onto you or your child! (connect the top part of the cupboard - maybe 3/4 of the way up - with a strong cable/wire so it doesn't tip forward). If you can't, put very very heavy things in the bottom only.
@pfcsoldier9 ай бұрын
Even the Ica chest of drawers must bee tetherd 👍 If more then one drawer is opend it will fall over
@FiredUpFeminist9 ай бұрын
Came here to say this, too! Furniture like cupboards and dressers are very dangerous for kids unless attached to the wall to prevent tipping. ❤

To go from your Father's flat and your first Georgian flat that had almost too much storage to this flat with no storage must-have been so frustrating for someone who is so tidy and organized. I hope you feel more at home soon with everything in its place! It is so interesting to see Adeline becoming a toddler, A similar ago to Agatha when I first started watching your vlogs. Yeah, that's not really new furniture. They might have been floor display models that were collecting dust in a back room. If you have full sets of sheets with matching pillowcases you can use the organization method of folding the sheets and putting them in their corresponding pillowcase. I think I saw Martha Stewart do that many years ago.

About the furnitures, I think the reason they were already assembled, dirty and marked is because the company brought pieces to you, which were displayed/exhibited before at the company. Like in IKEA's showrooms or maybe in a shopwindow. Maybe the permanent marker-pen markings on them were some guidelines or placement indicators, maybe meant something for the employees of the store. The dirt and dust on them maybe collected in a warehouse, where they were stored after displayed enough and until you ordered it. Jumping on a different topic, Victoria you are excessively beautiful, not to mention your amazing personality with (despite the dozens of previous hard or stressful events in your life) infinite caring and cuteness, Toyla is super lucky being next to you :) I hope your family will always successfully overcome any difficulties that this world and life brings up. Greetings from Hungary!

You can take off the markers with alcohol. I don’t know what it’s called there, it’s sometimes called rubbing alcohol in the US, in Australia they refer to it as isopropyl or ethyl alcohol. But I’ve found it’s the most effective way to remove markers from smooth surfaces.
@denverdubois58359 ай бұрын
Yes, and if that is grease pencil on the mirror, gently scraping as much as possible off with a knife and then taping a pad soaked with acetone to it should do the job. Baking soda and water paste can be useful too.

We I was in the military & moved a lot & no money I used regular Boxes 📦 to organize things in. And when I got next paycheck I got contact paper ( its actually sticky plastic w designs) . The one I used as a dirty clothes box lasted yrs. As to the markers u can try alcohol( removes most ink) or nail polish remover , WD-40. also removes lots of sticky stuff. Or a strait edge raiser blade ( for shaving)
