Thank you for sharing about your plans to immigrate. You had been in my thoughts and I had anticipated that might be your next step. Your next apartment sounds very practical for you for all the important reasons. You will make it suit you with your personal touches to make it more homey for however long you need it. Your nomadic reality reminds me of my own when I spent many years with 1 year contract jobs. I have every confidence in your ability to land on your feet.

I am opposite of you, i am so thankful i don't have to move again. In my adult life i have only moved 3 times. One of those times i was 8 months pregnant. The house im in now, i did rent for several years before buying. Renting in America is a nightmare in most areas, sky high prices for awful apartments/houses, very few allow pets or charge huge pet fees. Many people have become homeless because they can't find anything affordable or landlords don't want kids or animals. I may hate moving but its fun to watch your adventures. I love & adore ur family so much!!!! Much love from America ❤!!!

I was so happy you posted this today. I've been watching you a long time! I've enjoyed watching your family grow. I think it's great you are moving. My husband's old job was 25 miles from our house. The traffic is a nightmare. He'd leave at 6 am in order to beat the traffic. Sometimes coming home would take 2 hours. He changed jobs 2 years ago. He was so happy because it's less than 10 min from the house. Plus, it paid more. He still goes in at 6 to get things ready for his employees and get a start on the day. All of my rambling just to say your husband will be a lot happier not having long commutes. He will get home earlier and you will have more time together, and everyone will be happier! Thank you for sharing your life with us.❤

Very different in Switzerland. About 2/3 of the population rents and almost all the apartments or houses are rented empty, but including kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge-freezer and maybe dishwasher (in Germany you often have to bring your own kitchen), and there is usually a cellar compartment for storage, and either your own washing machine or a communal washer/dryer and drying room, plus usually one or two car parking spaces. Furnished apartments are really rare except where there are a lot of foreigners on short contracts. We have had trouble renting out two furnished apartments until we found people who are good long-term renters. Apartments have by contract to be extremely clean when you leave (often professionally cleaned, as the landlords/agencies are super-picky) so when you move into a new place it‘s always spotless. Decor is usually neutral, white walls, wood or tiled floors, very little carpet any more, as it‘s hard to keep clean. Everywhere is central-heated. Renting is quite expensive, especially in cities, and you usually have 3 mths notice until you can leave your contract, the rules are very strict but it‘s efficient and works. But different countries have different cultures, I guess! Good luck with your move x
@88kayleigh5 күн бұрын
Sounds very similar to how it is in Canada! Almost all unfurnished and all major appliances included. Laws differ from each province but where I am tenants have to give one month notice to leave and landlords have to give usually 2-4 months notice to evict depending on the reason why.
@jj-if6it5 күн бұрын
Same as Australia, but we have to bring our own fridge
@Woeschhuesli4 күн бұрын
@@88kayleigh evicting anyone is really difficult, you can give a year‘s notice if you need the property yourself but otherwise, almost impossible 🫣 Strong renters‘ rights!

We are thankful to have your family in our KZbin lives! My eldest has moved 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. Moving is tiring, and she does not allow anyone to help her pack. She was going to hire movers this last time, but it would have been $1,000-$2,000 just to go half way across the city, because she had to move everything down two flights of steps (extra cost). At least her new place has an elevator. (Yay!).

Again, so well done, Vica, and so relaxing. You get better and better at all you do, the pictures, the music, the quality. I look forward to seeing your new place and being near town will be so nice, so you can get food easier. Yes, that would be hard for me to have too much furniture and things I don't like the looks of as I am a minimalist too, and being artistic color means a lot to me. Also, the sofa type things that are not clean. I like to keep denim cloth over mine so I can wash it easy when I want to. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I feel I know you.

This was a very interesting video, listening to you talk abiut living in apartments and moving in your area. Here in the US it is normal for an apartment to be completely unfurnished so I think people are more attached to their furniture and decorations etc. It does make moving more difficult though. We usually move in or out of an apartment on the 1st of the month. Sometimes you can't see the inside of an apartment beforehand because the tenant is still living there. Sometimes people have to pay for two apartments for a month because it takes them a while to move everything out of the old apartment and clean up. When I was little it was unusual to have students in my class coming or going, our class just stayed the same for a long time. But I think nowadays kids do enter or leave their class before/after the school year or even partway through the school year because they had to move, which is probably difficult for them but at least other kids are doing that too. It's hard to be the only new kid at school. I think here generally people have a goal never to move or not to have to move frequently. People want a house or to own an apartment/condo if possible. But if the housing market and inflatation keep going the same way here, I think it will become more common for young adults to live with their families for a long time rather than just moving out. It's really tough here if you're working class. Good luck on your move and I'm excited to see the new place! 🏢
