Hasbro should release product images as the prototypes are made. This would add to the hype, intrigue, and interest in the production process as well as give fans something to look forward to. Adversely it fuels the creativity that customizers like myself thrive on. Besides being ahead of the game ultimately has a positive effect.

Leaks create more buzz, Hasbro should use this to get people more hyped. I am waiting for Wet-Suit,Airtight,Sci-Fi, Mainframe and some new variant for Agent Helix (Nightforce perhaps?) As for Flint, i like the classified version. Modern, but with enough callbacks to the original. I am pleasantly surprised by the figures so far. As for the new Haslab, why not do a H.A.V.O.C? I mean i would love a Night Raven but i guess that would be too big.

I think the biggest Haslab would go would be the WHALE. Anything else would be prohibitively expensive. I'm surprised that they were good to go with a Rattler!

The first Flint was my first ever Classified figure. It was because of that Flint, I got into Classified. He's still one of my favorite of my collection, might be my second favorite with my first favorite being Storm Shadow.

@StormX6 yeah that Storm shadow was really key on getting me full into Classified. I've had a lot of fun with Flint and while I like most of the Retro stuff more, there are a few figures that I feel Classified did a great job on modernizing like Rock N Roll and Stalker. It's great to see more Retro stuff though.

@ Agreed. They did a great job on Storm Shadow. I like a lot of the updated figure designs, Tunnel Rat, Major Bludd, and Zarana being great examples too. The 80’s were before my time, so I don’t mind them not being like the retro series. However, I will say, some of the characters look better retro. Recently got retro Scarlett, and she’s much better than the first Classified Scarlett. Retro Firefly also looks better than his modernized counterpart.

Thanks for all this info! I'm going to order Flint I like the body and accessories but I'm not a fan of retro-Flint's face. I think I'll try switching with Duster's head which has a sculptjob that I prefer. I'm going to order Cover Girl, I really like the Classified version and the Retro is so different that it gives the impression of 2 distinct characters. As for Falcon V1 and V2 different enough to have 2 characters in the same room, one more recruit in my regiment. All that's missing is to find another callsign for her. As for Tele-Viper, I'm hesitant because I have 2 Trubble-Bubble with the Classified Tele-Vipers. I think there may be Tele-vipers with different uniforms (Flight suit & Ground Suit). So we'll see because they are very tempting. Leaks should be considered as the images taken on the fly during the filming of blockbusters. I'm not going to criticize while the post-production is not done. For me, it increases interest and makes me dream about the next figurines, even if I don't forget that projects can be canceled. Disappointment is part of life. I think Hasbro is a powerful company and I can't believe that it doesn't get any benefit from the buzz that leaks produce. In the age of social networks, what's important is that people talk about you continuously... and for free (or cheap). And I'm going to order Snake Eyes & Polar Bear... it's so obvious.

What is an "A-tier" character in G.I.Joe? Every character is a great character to someone. I wish Hasbro had a clear release schedule based on a particular year. Make an 82' wave or an 86' wave instead of gathering figures from so many different corners of the property. I'm still waiting for Sci-Fi and Leatherneck is lame without Wetsuit.🤦🏾‍♂️

As to the leaks. I think Hasbro should lean into. Post develop pics all through the process. Ask the community for feedback as they are being made. More of an Agile process. This might even allow them to course correct when they mistep rather than waiting until the release to hear about their blunders.

A Flash/S.N.A.K.E. set wouldn't be bad at all but I'd rather have a Flash/Grand Slam 2-pack instead. Hasbro has got to be smart with their strategies to sell them both, because they are similar characters and many collectors will be happy with either one of them.

I think leaks can help if a character is looking a bit weird and fans are not vibing with the direction of said character, Hasbro has time to listen to feedback and make changes. So that we don’t get those figures that missed the mark. Like cover girl & Falcon.

Great point, but unfortunately, by the time we see leaked production samples, it's too late for changes. Hasbro’s design and approval process is locked in months before leaks surface, as it takes about 18 months from concept to shelf!

And these all look so fn cool!!! But my other passion as a kid was wrestling, so I went all in on that. But I may have to pick at least some of the Classified stuff up just because.

Classified bat is awesome, I was on the fence of the classified version and never picked it up. I’ll pick up this retro version. Flint is amazing! Literally looks like the 80s fig increased in size. Only gripe is I wish they would include a claw that opens and closes. I like leaks because it shows us what to expect. And sometimes it can help them fix something that we don't like.

I know that i am in the minority, but i still prefer the Operation Blackout inspired first wave of Classified figures and the Cobra Island. I understand that some people want the classic looks. I like both but i prefer the modern looks with the articulation that started the line. If that first wave was pinless, i believe those would be the best of both worlds. I still want the rest of the characters with those video game inspired looks.

Spread the love.😂 TBH, I'm not a fan of the new Cover Girl figure, it just looks weird. She's supposed to be a model but she looks stubby. When did she wear a baseball hat? The Tele-Viper looks clunky as well. Hopefully, it's just the working versions and final products will look better. Crystal Ball's look seems to be coming along nicely, so there's a chance.

One thing that has been puzzling to me is that G.I. Joe products will be delayed, up to a year in USA, and yet is readily available overseas. Yes, I know that it's made in China, Taiwan, Thailand, etc. But once they start shipping the finished products, it should be released everywhere like most other products. An example: it can be frustrating to see videos and images of people unboxing and reviewing S.A.W. Viper all over KZbin and FaceBook and yet, it is not available here until August 2025 per Hasbro Pulse.

All in on team retro flint. 50/50 on cover girl. The leaked images arent showing the figure well. Leaks are part of the game, bit its been quite excessive the last 3 months. Kind of takes a bit of the thrill away when they are so early in the process like the green shirts. But still fun to see. I would be pumped woth a snake and flash 2 pack. But if they made a snake and green shirt two pack think how happy all the army builder collectors would be. Well... more or less happy :)

I love B.A.Ts, but I never bothered getting the Crimson, Arctic or Python versions. I certainly don't need a red faceplate variant. The first release was close enough to vintage accuracy for me.

Guess there's not much as far as news for leaked vehicles but I'd like to see Hasbro do the fans a solid and release the VAMP MKII to make up for the lack of first run green VAMPs available. Also, we've only seen one trailer but they now offer 3 vehicles (including the HISS) with a trailer hitch so, where are the trailers? Some of the most popular vehicles of the 80's line were the HAL, Whirlwind, Cobra ASP, and such. Guess we'll have to see what they roll out. So far there hasn't even been a Joe release in 2025 so we'll see what the first one brings.
