Hi, Danielle: The window box can be hung on cinderblock. Be sure to first install a ledger board, which is basically a piece of pressure treated wood that runs horizontally under the windowsill that you have. You will need to counter-sink the bolts into the wood. This will allow you to hang your window box on the ledger board, and it will hang straight and be secure. You can position the windowbox in such a way that the ledge board is barely visible after. It will ensure your box stays secure. Good luck with your surgery!

Sorry to hear your in need for surgery, my prayers for a positive outcome and a speedy recovery. I'm sure it will be difficult not to do garden chores while you recover, but at least you have a beautiful garden to relax in during this emerging season to recover in. I do have a question for you...I've noticed that you have metal rod supports in your garden beds to help support your garden cloth, do you have a source, name of what they're called so I know what to search for or have a link where I could purchase them? I enjoy watching your videos and look forward to watching the evolution into spring. Thanks for all you do.

Hey there, to drill a hole in concrete or porcelain block, use a concrete masonry drill bit and have a nice and powerful drill. In my old cellar, I have found if I can drill into the grout line I have less trouble with it. Then I use a white wall anchor and the screw to fit the same. Most times before I put the anchor in the hole, I add a little liquid nail. Hopefully that is good information for you. You always inspire me! Good luck on your surgery. I am sure the doctor is very knowledgeable and experienced.

You can drill into concrete block. Drill into the block, NOT the joints. Use tapcon screws- made for concrete. The raised bed area looks amazing. Love the obelisks and I think the scale of the fountain is fine. Best wishes on your recovery -take your time.

A cheap hammer drill from Harbor Freight ( around $39.00) will make the drilling for the tapcon you choose very easy. You have to get the correct size concrete drill bit for the tapcon you choose.

Wishing you a speedy recovery from your surgery. I am in Ohio zone 6a and all of my spring bulbs are up. Hyacinths, daffs are blooming along with my woodland blend from colorblends. Very unusual. Luckily, we have cold temperatures for the next week to slow things down. Love your dry creek bed. Maybe I will try this for better drainage off my driveway where the water pools.

Thanks for the tour. We are hoping and praying that your surgery and recovery goes well. Your garden looks beautiful. We are in southern Wisconsin and just received 6 inches of snow and will have below normal temperatures for the next week at least. However I can focus on more seed starting and tending to all my plants under the grow lights while I await spring blooms. Make sure to get enough rest and we will be around when you return.
