And this is why there are so many people quitting this game. It's OTL (One Turn Lock) into OTK every single time. there's no interactions anymore unless you run pure hand traps to have a chance to play your next turn, but even then most meta decks can just play through them like you didn't do anything. He performed an 11 and a half minute combo here. The combo IS awesome, but this is precisely one of the biggest issues in todays meta. It's too easy to prevent the opponent from playing the game. We need to see some sort of set rotations i think to help offset these overpowered decks. Also the fact that some cards can do so much by themselves is too much.

Sam’s deck is counterproductive in time management. He designed it so he could have every negate on field plus gate guardian, which is unfun to watch or play against. Pure gate guardian with some added support cards can get get gate gaurdian 1st-2nd turn without any 7 minutes waits.

That targeting protection effect on Combined can be pretty annoying, but it's the double Spell negation from WW that usually adds challenge to dealing with the deck. You really want to engine in either Kashtira or Branded(maybe both if you're a madman) to make the most of the things. And ALWAYS play the Magicians' Souls package, the Field Spells can keep placing each time they're activated so getting extra draws off them + the Guardian piece the place for 2 draws adds a TON of consistency. You can even send off one of the traps that recovers banished pieces instead if you're in a bind. The Jirai Gumo Trap can be annoying to actually snipe things with unless you think to summon a Fusion in one of the EMZs and set the trap in front of the other one to disrupt an opponent's plays if they run any Links. If that's too much work or you're not seeing a lot of Link decks you can of course just not play it, it's not the most important part of the strategy.

It suprises me that Sam doesn’t do any research on the cards when he built the deck. He just tossed every meta hand-trap and spell card he knew and said “this a gate guardian deck.” I built one yesterday off of the old retrains and some unknown cards that work with it. If Sam had taken the time of day, he would’ve found out that Gate Gaurdian had another variant called Dark Gaurdian which was a 3800 uneffected beat stick.

This comment is not meant to be insulting. Sam is really funny and I enjoy his videos. That being said, turn 0 of the first game took 6.5 minutes to complete and it was the deciding turn of the duel. The opponent had literally 0 input in the entire duel. The discussion concerning the Meta of this game is quite long, so I'm not going to open it. What I want to get at, is that I'd enjoy watching videos featuring more interactive decks, even if they are not as competitive. That's all, stay safe!
