@gFTWYeah, but could've at least been given effects like "this card's name becomes "Dark Magician" while on the field or in the GY." That way, it can work with certain Dark Magician archetype cards. Also it could have effects like "When this card is Special Summoned, Special Summon 1 Spellcaster type monster from the hand, Deck, or GY," which would give it utility with some other cards like Dark Burning Attack and Dark Burning Magic.

@@matasa7463 Konami didn't want this card to be playable, it's that simple. The only reason why they have to make it an effect monster with heavy restrictions is to make it more useless than a vanilla monster. Also it HAS to be special summoned by its effect first iirc, so yeah, no synergies with DM archetype of course.

Maybe in lower tier pvp or just playing the bots but I’m not sure those decks are more than 20 either? I mean maybe there’s some cards that let you add to an opponent GY but I can’t think of any off the top of my head but I don’t play as often these days

I put it in my DM deck purely for giggles, if nothing else it's fodder for quintet magician. Never summoned to date but it does help get the most of quintets effect.

A lot of people are saying it’s useless as a card but I really do think it was just made to have that “my deck has no bad cards moment.” You can technically just put this card in every deck and have it on standby in an emergency. God forbid there’s one more extra card in your deck and maybe you don’t get to use it and it sticks in your hand forever. I just like the thought of that one in a hundred moment where someone beats your ass in a duel and of all things, this card becomes your engine and ticket out. That’s the beauty of yugioh at its finest to me personally. Great video!

Actually milling cards and discard spell cards can get it out quickly and hand destroying cards against your opponent can easily get the attack bonus

I think to make this card viable, they'd have to make it so the it can be summoned normally and special and make the effect conditional. Like "If this card is summoned this way(by having 25+ in your grave) it gains this effect (+2500 if opponent has 25+ grave)" and maybe give it some kind of immunity.

I was able to summon this card with my 60 card DM deck with the grass is greener but was never able to pop its effect and usually once it’s summoned the most it does is one attack before used as material for fusion/link/xyz/synchro summoning a better monster 😂 I took it out once I reached diamond because it’s just god awful and a waste of space
