Bought this cooler to keep my food cold at work because i was tired of people taking my food. Kept my products cool. Great review

It always makes me wonder why people will actually steal another's food... I just can't believe it happens at jobs all over the world. As you might know I have a few of these coolers. Love them and the warranty is great!

Thanks for the review. I'm getting one because of this. Will be using as my lunch bucket for work along with some Stanley food jars and my vacuum bottle. Yours was the only video where I could really tell the size and what could fit in it. Thanks again.

+brianmcg321Hi Brian, thanks for watching, Glad I could help. That why I like to make videos of items that I find. Sometimes I just want to see a video with the product in a little more detail. I use my cooler a few times a week. I have not had any issues with it. I like it so much that I am considering getting the 7 qt for my lunches. 16QTs is pretty big for lunch, but from the contents you are taking, it will be more than adequate and allow for extras. That why I like this cooler. I use it for fishing, for food, some times I just put things in it to carry with me. A bag of ice fits inside perfectly. REI has 20% off regular and outlet items for members and today is the last day... so you can get this cooler and other items for 20% off. The ecycle nesting containers for $7 now, if you are a member they are $5. Take care,-JaimeAstin

I purchased a Stanley cooler when they hit the market .... They designed the top with the bungee cord to tie down a thermos or gear , and I use that function all the time . I freeze a couple of waters and pre chill my beer etc.... prior to adding ice , I like the handle nice and sturdy . Nice video I just want to give my 2 cents ....
@jaimeastin9 жыл бұрын
+Earl Kleckley Thanks for your valuable input :). I now use frozen water bottles and blue ice blocks for pre chilling and actual use. The tie downs are just awesome. I now have a Stanley vacuum mug that I use with the cooler. I am very happy with this cooler. I use it weekly. Thanks and take care -JaimeAstin

Ive had the 7qt as a lunch box for about 7 years. It works well. I use a small ice pack from Walmart and it’ll keep my lunch and drinks cold for 16-18 hours. Been looking at a larger one that normal water bottles will stand upright. The other thing I don’t like is if you ha e water bottles on one side and a sandwich on the other side, the plastic handle stops won’t hold it upright. If you’re Walking a long way, such as into a plant, it wants to rotate. That’s even more so when you have something like a coffee thermos bungee’d to the top. I’m looking into the pelican 14qt personal cooler that has an insert to keep things off direct ice, and a top lid compartment. Unfortunately it’s been back ordered for the last three months

I have the 7 qt as well. it is nice and fits my kayak. My mom took it back to Arkansas with some fish when she was here for the holidays. It survived the airline and the fish was kept frozen for over 8 hours. I will be using it there when I go fishing on the river. I have no issues with my Stanley coolers. I had fish in my 16 quart cooler last week.Thanks for watching and commenting. Good luck and may God bless you.

Jeffrey Mckinney thanks for watching. I have no issues with my cooler. in fact, I have the 7qt and the 30qt. I recently sent my 7qt on the plane with my mom full of fish... no leak, no melting... this was over 8 hours plus travel. I really use my Stanley Coolers. they are durable, light weight, and do what they claim. I still love the bungee and miss it on the big 30qt. I hope you enjoy and get the same usage out of yours as I do mine. JaimeAstin

I enjoy your reviews man I have the 35qt and the 20qt pelican I got them both because you can get both of those coolers for about the same price as a yeti tundra 45. I have a Stanley stainless steal vacuum pint cup love it if you ever see one for a good deal pick one up they are great cups. Stanley make's some pretty good products I'd say that cooler already beats Colman and igloo in design plus a lifetime warranty that's a pretty cool deal. Maybe one day soon they will even improve on the design.
@jaimeastin9 жыл бұрын
WIT4SC thanks for the comment. I agree with all you said. No knock to yeti, but the price is more brand marketing cause the pelican and others have the same or better quality. No need for me to pay the extra to join a club. I like to buy things based on my personal preference, even if I am the only one. I really like my pelican cooler and the Stanley cooler has not disappointed. I have a few Stanley vacuum cups in my amazon cart now. I will need it when it gets cold again ans i am fishing... Need some warm tea or something to keep me going.maybe one day they will improve the design, but now at least it has proven to work for me. My contents stay cold for over 24 hours... That's keeping in my suv at varying temps. Of course the pelican beat that, but I am using the Stanley more due to size ans function. When I need the pelican, I use it. take care -JaimeAstin

JaimeAstin I hear yuh It was actually your video of the pelican 35 that compelled me to go a head and buy the 35 to cause I bought the 20 first for versatility because at the time me a buddy of mine where doing environmental work on a ranch down here in florida that was in the process of being sold. Big ranch we'd be out in the sun for hours far away from anything this place was out in the middle of nowhere land in rattle snake country. Well make a long story short I bought a 30qt island breez to carry my lunch and my water cause it's gets hot and you'll get what we call down here bear caught which is a term used for heat exhaustion it will sneak up on you and it will take you quick if you ain't staying properly hydrated. But Island breez didn't even have it for a week and the lid was already coming off and it wouldn't hold ice for 2 hours even. That pushed me on over the edge went a head bought my pelicans haven't had that trouble I actually had my 35 hold ice for 10 days no lie and that was like just blew my mind right there. I call yeti coolers a fadwhore product and just like you I can't wrap my mind around paying that much for a cooler either. And irritates me that people do when there are possibly Better products out there or at least products that can compare and they're all selling for cheaper. I love floating around here on KZbin checking out all these different coolers cause these super coolers just fascinate me especially pelican but just today I found something that you might be interested in looking into as well. And that is RTIC coolers if haven't already maybe go to their website and take a look at what they're doing. And If what they're doing is legit its looking like a pretty deal and like I said that might interest you. But yeah man keep us all posted on your Stanley.
@jaimeastin9 жыл бұрын
WIT4SC That's cool my video of the pleican 35QT aided in your decision :). That's an awesome story. No matter what, real world situations will set the verdict on product quality and value. It is not about having the most or least expensive item, but the right tool for the right job. I am blown away buy the "now" premium" coolers, but hopefully these will become the standard and prices will come down... But I am personally tired of buying things to buy again. I work too hard for my money to follow a fad. The Rtic coolers are interesting. That is a good price for the 20QT... Although they have 7 year warranties, what will really happen to these coolers? Nothing... Lifetime warranties are sometimes easy to give out because either the product as a very low fail rate... or the hassle to get the warranty is just not worth it for the customer. These coolers are game changers and we should not abuse them, but use them to the fullest... They will last.Hmmm... Rtic...

+JaimeAstin Cool deal I'll have to check them out then. I've been loving my Stanley mug so much I bought one for my cousin for her birthday and she loves her's to. I'll definitely look into their coolers. I've still been using my pelicans like crazy lately matter of fact I just got off work from a construction job and I got the 35qt pelican sitting on the back of the truck right now. I haven't had any problems still enjoying them but I definitely plan on getting my hands on a Stanley in the future then and possibly another pelican. Thanks for the update.

I still use them. Just use it over the weekend. I have all three sizes of the Stanley cooler but I like the smallest one the most. My only issue with the coolers are the latches eventually get really hard to close... I think it's because water or condensation gets in between the plastic and touches the phone... However the Stanley warranty is real. You just call him and tell him what the issue is and they were usually just send you a new cooler and you don't have to send the old one in. Well like most about these coolers is there a weight reduction between the rotomolded coolers. The rotomolded coolers are really heavy and for their size, you get less volume. It's cooler is put together with two different past 6 with phone in the middle. Is very lightweight and it does have good retention of ice. But with all coolers, I like to pre chill them by putting something cold in before I put the stuff in.

On a side-note the Stanley Thermos and coffee mug keep coffee warm for 10 hrs! I've tried them all and nothing stands up to the Stanley
@jaimeastin8 жыл бұрын
man... they made a believer. I have the 7 and 30 qt coolers now... and even more Stanley gear. it all works so well. I am about to take the 16 qt to the lake as I type this. all of my initial concerns have been put down. I love the weight to size to quality of the cooler. it is durable and very usable. so much more than a box to keep ice as a lot of cheap coolers are. the bungee on he top is still my favorite feature. I use it for drinks to cameras... anything I can't carry when I am lugging the cooler gets strapped down.

I own the 7qt and I love it. It’s getting a little small for me. I like this 16quart. Is there one of these between the 7 and 16? I thought there was a 10.

Thx for the review Jaime, did you say that the lid also has foam insulation in it? Too many coolers have hollow lids that allow heat to enter the compartment, so if the Stanley has foam in the lid it should be a winner.

bassnbrim First... I received an email that you subscribed to me... I love your name so much I was going to send a PM telling you so. BassNBrim, lol. love it. Yes, all of the Stanley coolers have foam in the lids. A lot of the cooler by Coleman/igloo do not have much foam in the body or lid. I have the stankyb7qt, 16qt, and the 30qt. all of them are solid. I use them all the time... the 16qt is the most used. they are very durable, light weight, keep things cold... I. not talking about just keeping ice. they keep my fish/food cold. I use the bungee almost Everytime... I have not had an issue with them at all... but if I did, it has a lifetime warranty. thsbks for subscribing and commenting. JaimeAstin

Yes. Still use it. I did have it replaced under warranty last year. It became hard to close because water got in it. The foam expaned... I really wish they were 100% sealed where the two sections meet. I have since, used a bead of silicon to seal it. Their warranty is beyond great. You have an issue, call/email them. Provide the information and they send you another. No need to send it in or anything. I had another item that had an issue and the same thing... Let them know, they send you a new one. No payment from you at all.

Does the lid of your cooler sweat a lot? Mine does in less than 24 hours. I'm not sure if it's normal or a problem.
@jaimeastin8 жыл бұрын
Mine does not... But is there water in the lid? There is a little hole on the lid... My 16QT has it... but the 30 has one, but the foam seals it... I am about to go seal min on the 16QT with some glue. When I wash it out, I try to make sure no water get in it... but I will fix that right now!.
