Excellent start! You're right, Tamyia really needs to get some new Chassis types..... The TATRA all independent, central Drive would be a show stopper!!

Something heavy like the TATRA would be awesome, even if they just released a military style truck or re-released and revised the tipper would be great 👍

I will be bookmarking all of these videos, as not done a 6x4 yet, but was having problems with the metal chassis crossmembers as the holes were a different size to the rails. so these video's will come in very handy thanks Scott. not sure whether easier to paint before hand, as want the chassis rails painted as well, but would definately need to build it first so I know which chassis holes I am going to use, then fill the rest, and possibly need to drill some new holes for the cross members if they still don't fit. the front cross member, the cross member behind the gear box, and the back bumper are the only ones I could manage to fit the other day, so got 2 cross members that wouldn't fit due to different size gaps for drill holes.

Hi there. In regards to paint, I'd recommend doing most of it beforehand if you are doing the chassis too 😊 it saves stripping it all back down again. Also the crossmembers.. Are they lesu by any chance as the holes are much smaller with lesu products.. Also the spacing between holes on the Euro Cross members and American Cross members are slightly different by a couple of mm of i remember correctly.. Enjoy your build, I'm sure you will either way 👍👍

@@scotty555babe doesn't say in the listing on ebay that they are Lesu products, I do agree that painting the chassis first would be a good idea, just don't want to paint it at this moment in time, until I have sorted out the cross members, like would have been a waste of paint if I have to drill new holes, and fill in the old ones after I had painted it. but will be painting before getting too far into the build, as I know once you start adding stuff then it becomes more time consuming, plus more bits to loose. :-)

Nice start with the build. Found a place in Aus with a price that wasn't too scary, but I don't think I can justify the amount, (unless the cruises I am going end of the year get cancelled)!

I vote.. But the truck and build it in the cruise 😁

Didn’t know you could swap,the steering servo position to the front.

If you don't have the shift servo then it's all good 👍

brill but where do we order the metal cross members from
@scotty555babe2 жыл бұрын
Thanks.. The metal crossmembers I got from Gpm a few years ago but I'd not built a euro truck since so I'd never used them, so I thought I'd throw them on this build 👍

Very nice to watch! Little question, what kind of set bearings you use instead of the bronse bussings?
@scotty555babe2 жыл бұрын
I use metal ball race bearings instead of the bushes, in honesty I've never had an issue with the bushes but everything moves more freely on bearings.

@@scotty555babe thank you! This Scania is going to be my first RC build. Normally i build 1:50 scale.

Sweet me and my dad used to do a lot of code 3 with the 1,50 scale corgis etc 👍
