Hi pat, so you can’t change the MAH setting ie 5000mah it’s just all automatically calculated? I like my Orion charger as when you choose the mah rating for the battery your charging it will then select the best charge amp rating for it, ie, 4.0a for 4000 or 5.0a for 5000 etc. I do need a second charger though so I’ll put this on the compare list👍

Hello mate, you can change the settings but the highest is 5A charge, so anything higher than 5000mah will just charge at 5A. It charges my 3000mah at 3A etc, but selected manually 👍👍

Good to see you here. I think You Tube is a double edged sword it helps the hobby expand, but comes with the nay sayer's and Trolls I have thought about going on here with all my gas 5th scale trucks and buggies, but being on my own makes it harder and by the time you set everything up half your time is eaten up and as you say it subtracts from the enjoyment, and after filming there is editing and uploading and listening on here it can take a coupe of hour's at least so for me not so tech minded it was mission impossible.

Thanks nick.. it really is a double edged sword.. I'm all for helping the hobby and others in it.. I kind of treat my channel as a hobby too.. I've not made any income from it since last year as I don't upload that often. I love the building cars etc and was once in to making scale models when I was younger, so I'm tempted to get back in to that and upload videos of the process as I can just set up camera hit record and then narrate over footage after which would be super simple to do. No one is saying how fast or slow the charger is. Does it take 2hrs to charge are 10hrs to charge.

Depends how low your battery is. From a storage charge a 5000mah battery will take about 30 to 40 mins .. this is because you can only charge at a rate the battery is suited, so for a 5000mah battery shouldn't be charged at more than 5Amps, 4000mah at 4Amps and so on. This chargers max output is 5amp. This doesnt mean you cant charge a bigger battery just takes a little longer 👍 I hope that helps mate
