They are coming. All of the Glocks are goung to be offered in a Gen 5 very soon. The .40's are coming next, then I believe the .45, then 10mm, and 357sig. Not sure on the .45GAP models yet, (the 37, 38, abd 39.)

Glock has made 10,000 P80 already but they are not planning to STOP Production of the Retro P80 because they believe they will be able to sell more than the first run of 10K in the USA. They will want to recup the Cost of making the Molds for both the Frames and the Boxes so I would not be surprised to see a production schedule closer to 100K pistols and I am willing to BET they will sell every single one! I own a small gun shop and I have been getting calls about the P80 and I have 15 of them on order with Lipsey but I was told that I will be NOT getting all 15 at once but will be spread out over the next 4-7 weeks

Missed out on the Gen 1. But I owned a Gen 2 which I absolutely loved skip the Gen3 own the Gen4 and Gen5 all 17s. Now I love Love the Gen5.. Im a lefty so its finally great to have a Glock that's left hand optional and the upgrades are pretty awesome

I just went from owning a Gen 2 to a Gen 4.. the only thing I didn't like about the Gen 4 was the finger grooves but I stipple mine and took care of that.. now I carry a Gen 5 Glock 17 and I absolutely love it.. as far as the Dual recoil springs and I know that started in the mid 90s in certain Glocks but then became Universal in all Gen 4s in 2010..

I have six glocks and all of them are Gen 3 and above I purchased this pistol here and it felt clumbsy in my hand and did not like it at all . It leaves great shot groups as all glocks do .My battle buddy has this one and he loves it.

I can almost all but guarantee law enforcement are not using gen 1 Glocks. You probably found some old surplus they kept. Most are gen 3s through 5.... Seldom you find someone still carrying their gen 2s.... But next to never do you ever find a cop carrying a gen 1 Glock.

Have an original....love it....the cut out on the slide for the hold open was rounded out......would not stay open......sent it back to Glock they re-profiled the cut out and sent it back...my favorite glock....and I have also a 19x.....

Supposedly, the rail on all later Glocks is proprietary. As such, it is not a Picatinny rail.

Right from the start with a single slot it does not meet the Picatinny spec. However, almost all Picatinny rail mounts that are designed to be under a pistol will work as all the manufacturers adapted to its existence. As a result, it is a Picatinny as it needs to be for the purpose intended.

Actually they are both "P80" for totally different reasons. The very first Glock was the "Pistole 80", made for a military contract, that became the G17 when it came to the US.

The serial number is on a sticker on the outside of the box. Not all FFLs will actually take the time to compare the box to the gun itself, others check every single place a S/N appears.

Glock made a decision when they opened their US plants to use processes that they can do anywhere. That way they could manufacture in either country as they saw fit without the appearance that the US made guns were in some way inferior. Yes, you can do Tennifer in other countries. You can actually even do it in the US if you want to drop a boatload of money into environmental processes and disposal that goes with it.

The original magazines did not have the steel liner and would bulge after time and not drop free, like my Gen 2 Model 23. Interesting, but I doubt I would like it over my Gen 4, really needs a rail.

I bought my brother his first glock for his birthday like 4 years ago and I didn’t have much knowledge on glock at the time turns out I bought him a gen 1 in the “Tupperware” box get this I gave it to him on his birthday after months of waiting and I’m a inpatient person lol well the same day I gave it to him we went to shoot down by the lake as we were leaving we were climbing the cliff side to get back up to the car and some how the glock went tumbling down the mountain ended up shooting about 30 feet out into the lake it was March and freezing long story short we ended up hiring a scuba diver that same day to come out and he retrieved it for us after some time under water it was incredible so I think my brother has the rarest one to date. 😆
