Good video. I agree, we are in a pretty good era for cars. Im most excited about the Z and GR Corolla. Based on what you're looking to use a car for, Honda really will never be the car for people seeking straight-line speed. The point of Honda has always been to be a company that focuses on a balance of weight, braking, power, handling, gas mileage, and reliability. All reasons why I love Honda. For the rare times I like straight-line speed, I own other RWD cars for that purpose. Have you ever been to a track? I highly recommend it if you haven't. You will likely enjoy Hondas even more. Also, these new cars are largely garbage. Have you considered a well-kept older car to build? Many of the older cars are have high-hp potential, are reliable, as well as retain their values. Just something to consider. Good video though. I will enjoy watching these new cars on the sidelines. I don't have much interest in owning any of them if my choice has to be between a clean 90's car or these new cars. Clean 90's car all day for me. I have gotten so much positive attention when I drive my older Corvette and 240SX, it's amazing. I had a guy follow me home to look and talk about my 240SX. Lol

I've a built turbo s2k that just needs its fuel system upgrade to be ready to tune, and a built turbo integra. In terms of raw power those are the cars I'll be looking to, but I definitely want a fast modern car as well. I've already owned most of the old 90's cars that I've wanted and the integra is the only one that was a "must keep" for me.

@@VHBEngines Yeah, I will say, trying to force a car to be something it's not rarely ends well. I've been into modifying cars since the early 90's. I can't tell you how many times I witnessed tuners get frustrated after they tried to force a car to be something it's not. Same thing is true for newer cars, too. There's a point where you mess with it too much where it's no longer fun. Headaches start. I don't care who you are, a car that starts to be unreliable in some fashion gets frustrating. I would even argue you walk a finer line with newer cars. Easier to run into an issue because a car payment is thrown into the equation. I think a significant number of FK8 owners have realized they can't force it to be the horsepower monster they hoped for. At stock-ish HP numbers, it's an amazing car, if you use it for what it was intended for....the track. I agree with you. At $38k+, the enjoyment from the FK8 goes down. My friends and I recently discussed how the DC2 Integra Type R is falling into that category. Amazing car with tremendous heritage, but at the values of today, not nearly as enjoyable of an experience. Too many better cars for the money out there. Anyway, I enjoy your videos and knowledge of older Honda engines. Your videos have helped me pick realistic builds to keep things as reliable as possible.

They're talking about hybrids down the line. Probably turbo hybrid which I'd be fine with. Really can't say much bout the 11gen R just yet. They swear its gonna be on sale this year but they refuse to pull off the curtain and give us the details. All we can do right now is speculate

Hi, mate you doing a good job. I've got one little complaint. Not sure how to say this without offending you. Sorry in advance. I have trouble understanding you when you pronounce names of poeple and company's. They are spoken to fast as one word and not very clear who you are talking about sometimes. Keep up the good work (Reference is the video. Traum(who are they))

Inherited curse from my father. I speak way to fast. Traum is a piston maker with an awesome story. Made a video on them some time ago
