New golf cart laws start in Florida

Florida's new golf cart law now prohibits people under the age of 18 from operating golf carts on public roads or streets unless they possess a valid learner's driver license or a valid driver license.

mean if you’re 19 or 20 don’t have a license you’re OK to drive the cart. You’re over 18 so you’re OK. You don’t need a license or a permit . And those who don’t know the rules of the road how do we know who they are OK Karen.

private property is private, police can't enforce traffic laws inside a private community unless it breaks some form of bylaws within that community, and even then the most they can do is ask you to stop. just like cops can't ticket you for running a stop sign at wal mart, they could try though.

you'd have to find out of the streets are owned and maintained by an HOA or your subdivision, mostly only gated communities are owned by the subdivision. unfortunately that also means they can enforce parking violations/towing as well, if it is.

It is a motorized vehicle being gas or electric, it should be subject to taxes, registration and operator licensing. Private communities with their own roadways (gated) are subject to their own standards. Now let us talk about those electric bikes and scooters !

@@davidbrown8310 we should provide incentives for people to drive smaller vehicles, it reduces traffic, and in a way, not taxing the use of small e bikes and golf carts encourages people to drive smaller more efficient vehicles

It seems the less fortunate people like to complain about people driving golf carts.. They cannot afford one for their family so let’s make it harder for other families who have them. I mean come on the fastest road you can go on is 35mph..Most are road around the neighborhood..let’s keep making laws to loose are rights stay safe out there..🤓

😂Golf carts are for golf courses, and roads are for cars. The golf cart plank is also wearing gym clothes and never goes to the gym. If you want to make Florida a better place, do not have any law that prohibits natural selection. Problem solved. 🤡

I am a golfer I don’t think anybody should be riding or driving golf carts in the roads. The roads are made for cars grow up all you people get the hell out of the way. It’s ridiculous. What’s a gonna take somebody’s gonna get killed then they’ll look at it a different way. It’s stupid.

We pay registration and insurance on ours, as long as the law allows we will drive it on the roads that are 35MPH and under. With a go pro in case you aggressive drivers pull some stupid shit, we love to educate people on the Florida laws of the roads especially because the wife is a local LEO .
