This is so great for me! Don’t know for sure, been a follower of all three for a long time. I think o first found the lawn care nut, then Pete, then Cletus. But I could be wrong. I have most certainly watched all of each persons videos…. Although I have fallen off from Pete’s North Carolina rants about life. And I most certainly love Cletus’ positivity and example for life… “if it is your passion got for it and do it to the best of your ability!!!! No knock on any one else. Law Care Nut is most definitely a close second.

I will never forget cutting, and hand stacking 54 rolls per 4x4 pallet, for 10 hours a day 6 days a week all summer long.. On the back of an ol Massey Ferguson tractor. Thankfully I started 2 years after they used to use a walk behind cutter and the rolls were cut to length by hand before you rolled it up and stacked it on a pallet... I will also never forget laying 100,000 sq ft of sod with only 7 guys. 2 baseball/soccer fields. In the middle of July in eastern Montana. Sod was life for 7-8 years there.
@DCniner8 ай бұрын
Hand stacked sod for 3 or 4 years before the farm bought a new to them Trebro autostack harvester bolted to a John Deere 6220. Light years ahead of hand stacking but still a nightmare to operate and maintain, especially when the soil the sod was planted in is clay. Each roll was about 28-35 pounds, it would pick up 5 at a time and swing them around to stack them on the pallet. That constant motion took a toll on bushing, spears, and the iron frame of each component itself. Hell I once had to cut the last 16 pallets of the year with no autosteer, dam cable that runs to the shoe had broke and we didn’t have a spare. 🤦♂️ the good old sod days.

Well done! I'm a Cleetus Crew member and I might need some help with my lawn way up here in Maine. I'm kind of shaded and lots of moss. Yah, way too much mulching it I think... I can't do anything until last week of April at the earliest and I will have more snow in two days. I'm always at least two weeks behind everyone else because of the trees around me 29:39

I used that spray gun when I worked for GroGreen out of Plano Tx. The old owner from TruGreen worked at GroGreen when I was at GroGreen. I have heard that same story but don’t think it true about one of the lawn tech designed that spray gun. I use 13/13/13 on first application of the year. I then put down 100% by putting shavings from my local brake shop down. It then turns it a deep deep dark forest green color.

I’m a lawn care nut lover! I’ve used ur yard mastery on our last home and yard. We recently moved and have a house in East Texas the back yard is bare. I plan to bring in top soil to level it out better and be better than the sand we have. The back yard does have a cedar tree that provides some dense shade at times. Would you recommend the dense shade mix from black beauty? And if so when is best time to seed it and start growing it so I can have an incredibly green lush and dense back yard?

Bermuda's are the best looking and durable grasses if you ask me. I live in Texas and the wild bermudas are super dominant over some of the more decorative strains. The wild is really quite blue and will survive drought better. I've never been a fan of st. augastine grasses. They grow well in shaded areas but the texture isn't very nice.
@dylan82858 ай бұрын
Looks awesome Allyn especially the Bermuda which will forever be there 😂. Keep the content coming on the FF grass. Zoysia is generally a slow establisher takes a lot to get that double weave system up and running 😂 (stolons and rhizomes) for those that don’t know

For the Bermuda I kinda think you could have tried a rooting hormone & ammonium-sulfate with extra iron if the soil tests allowed it. You might have some root-rot with the excessive watering, hopefully the new-track has some serious deep tile drainage for the full 21 inches of grass roots, maybe even an adjustable water-table so you could flood-&-drain if it dried out too much in the summer.

Hopefully you start carrying the new hydr8 soon, I’ve heard some good things. Now to just top dress and roll every year for the next 100 years or so. The old British secret to a well manicured lawn. Time to add Hydr8, microgreensk and iron+ to the store. We need some of the pro specialty products especially the hydr8 for our Texas clay soil.

So Allyn. I have zenith zoysia and know sea kelp increase sodium from soil lab. I have water filtration in whole house with slightly added sodium. Filtration is not on bypass and used to water lawn. So house filtration irrigating in new zenith zoysia sod. I bought your sea kelp. It’s Safe to apply sea kelp to assist root growth? Added sodium from sea kelp and filtration system not going to effect new sod ?
